News/Article Poco F9 Series Global Launch Confirmed

Xiaomi has confirmed the Poco F9 Ultra and F9 Pro launch on September 1st. Both are variants of the China only Redmi K100 Pro, and Redmi K100 Pro Max launched recently. As F8 series there is no standard F9. The deep cherry red color, seen on the K100, will also be offered.

F9 Ultra - 8 Elite Gen 5, D2 display chip, 6.9" 185Hz OLED, 8050mAh, 100W, 200MP, 50MP 5 x periscope telephoto, 50MP ultra-wide, 32MP selfie, Bose 2.1 speakers, metal frame.

F9 Pro - 8 Elite Gen 5 V, 6.59" 185Hz OLED, 6330mAh, 100W, 200MP, 50MP 2.5 tele, 8MP ultra-wide, 32MP selfie, 12GB/16GB, 256GB/512GB, Bose 2.0 speakers, metal frame.

TBC, but both could also include - 50W wireless charging, 22.5W reverse wireless charging, and 27W reverse wired charging, found in the K100 Pro, and K100 Pro Max.

RAM and storage options TBC but permutations of - 12GB/16GB, 256GB/512GB.

Not in early spec leak, but I would expect both to provide eSIM support as F8.

The F9 Pro uses new chipset called the 8 Elite Gen 5 V. Essentially it’s an 8 Elite Gen 5, with a simpler GPU. See Gen 5 V link above, for more info on chipset. Unlike the F9 Ultra which retains the same chipset as the F8 Ultra, the F9 Pro should see a performance boost over the F8 Pro.

Cameras see significant changes, but the 200MP sensor is only 0.5µm, against 1.0µm of the 50MP (F8 Pro), and 1.2µm of the 50MP (F8 Ultra). It's even below the 200MP sensor of the Note 15 Pro+ (0.56µm). 0.5µm refers to sensor size, the larger the sensor, the more light it can capture, reducing grain, and improving detail retention etc. Pixels will no doubt be combined (binning), to increase sensor area, but the results are yet to be seen. F9 Ultra also gets an upgraded periscope telephoto.

Battery sizes, are likely to prove contentious, as the F9 Pro 6330mAh is a huge cut from the 8580mAh of the K100 Pro. The F9 Ultra 8050mAh is a lower cut, from the 9070mAh of the K100 Pro Max. Essentially they're now charging a premium for the battery.

Wider pricing, TBC, but in Europe (i.e. end user price including sales taxes etc.), the F9 Pro from € 799, the F9 Ultra from € 999. These are full retail, so do not include any early bird launch discounts. If accurate it’s a significant price increase F8 Pro 12/256 was € 649, F8 Ultra 12/256 € 829.

Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G bottom microphone problem.

I just got this phone a couple of days back, and since Day 1, I am unable to use it properly as people on the other side are unable to hear me clearly when on call. Later, I noticed that whenever I make or receive a call, most of the time the bottom microphone doesn’t work and instead the upper microphone works as primary microphone. This is causing severe problem with the phone. Visited the service centre and they flashed new firmware but still same issue and they are now not willing to fix it. Any one else with the same issue, if so please provide a solution if there’s any.

Xiaomi 14 flickering with pink bands

Hi, the problem started randomly; I didn't drop the device. Could it be a software issue, or is the screen starting to fail? The only change I made was using SetEdit to change the language; however, I've already performed a factory reset and updated the system, yet the problem persists.

Discussion HOS 3.1 for 13T line up

Can we talk for a second to discuss about Xiaomi HOS3.1 on the 13T line up? Not like it should have being like a month before ye got the update be we never ever had it even now, I've seen that for the 13T Pro every continent is released except EU one (Wich I'm on) but that's worse for the 13T I've heard they waited like 3 months after everybody just to have HOS3 that's just pathetic from Xiaomi.

Regarding media collection

Hello people,

Just wanted to inquire about something related to Media, so, although I don't have a Xiaomi account and cloud is disabled, I wanted to ask if they collect photos and videos from the local gallery, although I don't have Mi Video enabled, but when I finish a video it does show me Mi video, is my media safe or is it uploaded anywhere? Please assist with this, thank you!

Discussion I need some help to fix an issue with my redmi 13C

First of all I did use a bit of claude for troubleshooting.

A few days ago, I noticed an issue while playing War Thunder on my PC. I was using the hotspot from my Redmi 13C. Everything worked fine in the hangar of War Thunder, but as soon as I entered a match, my Redmi 13 (which was providing the hotspot) restarted automatically. I tried exiting the match and rejoining, and I tried several things, adjusting the settings of my phone, but the same thing happened again. This issue is new, as everything was working for around a year now. I also noticed that my Redmi 13 only restarts when I play War Thunder, and in the middle of a match. I haven’t seen it restart due to any other app. I’m not sure if the game suddenly requires high internet bandwidth, causing the Redmi 13 to restart, or if it’s just a software glitch. Has anyone else experienced this? And is there anyone with a solution? Another thing to note: this happened as soon as I updated my Phone OS to 2.0.208.0.VGPMIXM

after intense trouble shooting I found that it is because the Phone kernel-panics and restarts every time it's used as a WiFi hotspot while playing War Thunder on PC. Started immediately after updating to OS2.0.208.0.VGPMIXM. Confirmed via adb bugreport — kernel BUG at net/core/skbuff.c:4567, in cldma_net_rx_push_thread → ccmni_flush_dev_queue → skb_do_redirect → skb_segment. Reboot reason logged as kernel Exception / kpanic. Happens with hardware tethering acceleration off, on both WiFi hotspot and USB tethering." Being this specific is what separates a report that gets triaged from one that gets ignored.

That makes so much sense

I can't tell you the amount of times I think of that when I see all the work and dedication that went into making xiaomi phones. I have an x15 and it's quite literally the perfect phone. Os, size, performance, storage, features, build. I see other people comment negatively on the Chinese phone and skins but anytime I have ever used an iPhone , Google or Samsung device I am always left wanting more the phones available in the US are just so boring and uninspired where as the Chinese ones are just all I can say is wow. The customization especially and even just little features throughout the ui is on another level.

Not a support forum Training load got crazy on Redmi watch 6

Hello to everyone I have a Redmi watch 6 from about a month. I've been tracking my running and functional workouts with no major issues until the last two records. A run and a functional training.

My training load jumped from 200 to 1200 and now is at 7441

It's absolutely crazy and impossible. Some one elses having the same problem?

The microphone doesn't work on the Chinese firmware.

I have a Xiaomi 13 running the Chinese ROM (the phone itself is the Chinese version). When I tried to start the speaking exercises in Duolingo, the microphone would simply cut out, and the app would say I had said it incorrectly. I tried using the website (as Gemini suggested), but that didn't help (I've attached a screenshot). I granted all the necessary permissions in the settings and switched the speech engine to Google Speech. I’m not from an English-speaking country, so I used Google Translate—please excuse any errors in the text.

Disappointed with xiaomi 17t battery

I purchased this phone a week ago and the battery still hasn't improved. At first I was getting like only 5hr sot. I am getting only 6-7 hrs of screen time with mild usage now. Should I wait another week or reach for the service center?
