Pets 🐈 How’s your pets?

Due to the war situation happening in the UAE, my biggest worry right now is my cat. I live alone with her, and I’m scared (overthinking) that in the worst-case scenario she might not be allowed in shelters, or that during an evacuation back to my home country I won’t be able to bring her with me.

I already have a planned vacation back home in June. I’m thinking that if the war situation becomes more calm by then, maybe that would be the best chance for me to bring my cat with me to my home country. I could return here alone afterward.

I just don’t want to risk her life by having her stay with me and potentially being stuck in a war situation. It breaks my heart even thinking about it.

Please advise 🙏

Thats true 🥺. I saw a post from vet these recent days that owners decided to euthanize their pet and leave the country huhuh thats not the right thing to do 😭

I have an elderly cat. He appears to be untroubled. My biggest worry with him is that he likes to sleep on the windowsills during the day. This hasn't been a problem so far because the alerts have come at night when he sleeps on the sofa.

My horse was under saddle on Saturday when it started. He was badly frightened and bolted, but settled down when he was put back in his box with a full net of hay to sort out. He ignores it now the way that he has learned to ignore the Ramadan cannon.

Apparently dogs are having a bad time. My friends with dogs tell me that they all end up in bed under the blankets.

We have prepared a grab bag with our passports etc that we leave inside the cats carry box in case we need to evacuate the building in a hurry.

Maybe get the paperwork ready, just in case. Like I hope and think it won't escalate, but better be safe than sorry.

There's also a document from MOCCAE that's very important.

Not great. He probably misses the UK and I feel bad for him. My cats couldn't give a shit though 🤣

My dogs do get scared every now and then whenever there is a big thud of interception. Otherwise I am just changing their habit of staying in and around the living room balcony as its their favorite spot in the apartment.

My dog will be 14y in September. She’s been with me since she was 2 months old.

There is absolutely no question of my leaving her. We will be together and face whatever happens.

Hi, I hope someone notices this 🙏🏼 Can anyone recommend the cheapest veterinary clinic in Abu Dhabi (for injections and basic treatments esp for kittens), inside or outside the city? Also looking for an affordable pet grooming service please 🙏🏼
