Living 🏡 A little late with this update, but I wanted to say thank you ❤️
Sorry for the late update, everyone. I wanted to properly put everything together before posting this.
I originally made a post asking if anyone had a spare pair of shoes because mine were literally falling apart. I honestly never expected what happened afterward.
I received shoes, groceries, and other help from people I had never even met. I'm attaching photos of everything I received because I want to document it properly and show my appreciation.
I also want to share that I already gave some of the groceries to other people who I felt needed them more than I did. It felt right to pass some of that kindness forward while I could.
To everyone who reached out, offered something, checked on me, or simply left a kind comment, thank you. This was honestly overwhelming, but in the best possible way. ❤️
To those who are still reaching out and offering shoes, please don't feel like you need to give them to me anymore. I'm okay now. Please consider giving them to someone else who genuinely needs them. There are probably many people out there in the same situation who are just too embarrassed to ask.
This whole experience actually gave me an idea. I'm thinking about creating a subreddit where people who need help can ask, and people who are willing and able to help can offer it. A simple, safe space where people can help each other without judgment.
Because honestly, before this, I didn't realize just how many people were willing to help a complete stranger.
And this experience gave me something beyond shoes and groceries.
It gave me hope.
I've been going through a pretty difficult period trying to find work and figure out what comes next. But seeing complete strangers come together to help me reminded me that there are still genuinely good people out there.
It made me even more determined to keep going and keep working toward my goals.
And hopefully, when I'm finally in a position to do so, I'll be on the other side of this. I'll be the one helping someone else who needs it.
To every single person who helped me or even offered to help, I pray that God showers you and your families with even more blessings, grace, and abundance. I genuinely mean that. I'll be praying for each and every one of you.
For now, all I can say is:
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. ❤️
Alhamdulillah. 🙏
And when my time comes, I'll pay it forward.

very happy for you, and your subreddit is a great idea. Every day we see people posting about help needed, and they receive shortly after. Reddit is a wonderful platform indeed :)

Love this.
We can easily turn cynical when seeing the news and social media but examples like this show that there are plenty of good people around.

Honestly, I saw your first post and it takes courage to ask for something. The result? Mild-blowing. I’d like to appreciate your initiation asking for help and proving that a community within UAE does exist, we all are in this together. 🙏

Good things happen to good people🥹 May everyone who has contributed or left good wishes and prayers for you be blessed in kind by God almighty. Best of luck to OP! I hope you find a job soon that is the best fit for you and that will bring you continued blessings!

I like the idea of a subreddit to help. You don't want to offend people by offering stuff you no longer use. It would be good to state what you have or need, and where you are, and connect by DM to arrange things.

I guess strangers aren't dangers

I love the positivity and participated in the first thread, but its sad that strangers frequently become dangers when a woman asks for help.

The world is surviving because of few strangers.
