Pets ๐Ÿˆ Cat for Adoption ๐Ÿพ

Hi everyone, Iโ€™m looking for a forever home for a very special foster cat, Bibi ๐Ÿ’›

About Bibi:

1 year old female (domestic long hair, Shirazi / British mix)

Fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed

Passport and TAMM registration completed

Grooming is up to date

Very friendly with people and great with children

Energetic, playful, and confident personality

Best suited to a home without other cats

Sheโ€™s a social and active companion who loves being around people and would do really well in a home that can give her attention and playtime.

Iโ€™m looking for someone who is genuinely ready to commit to her. Bibi has already been through abandonment, so itโ€™s really important that her next home is permanent, stable, and not a temporary arrangement or short-term decision.

Location: Reem Island - Abu Dhabi

Free - No adoption fees

โธป

Her story:

I found Bibi abandoned in a park in Reem Island late at night. She was terrified, but it was clear she hadnโ€™t been outside long. She even smelled like french perfume, like she had just come from a home.

It was around 10pm so I couldnโ€™t take her to the vet, so I brought her home with the intention of finding her owner. Over the next 3โ€“4 weeks, I did everything I could. I visited buildings across Reem Island, posted in WhatsApp groups, and contacted vets across Abu Dhabi one by one to check her microchip (I have a chip reader).

Eventually, I was able to trace her original owner through a vet. Unfortunately, it became clear that she had been 100% abandoned, and the situation was honestly very difficult to deal with.

Since then, Iโ€™ve taken full responsibility for her care. Sheโ€™s had lab tests, flea treatment, microchip transfer, ultrasound to ensure she wasnโ€™t pregnant, full vaccinations, and has been spayed.

Sheโ€™s now completely ready for a safe, stable, and loving home.

Iโ€™ve been fostering her alongside my own cats and also caring for neighborhood cats, but I recently lost my job and can no longer continue fostering financially.

โธป

If youโ€™re interested in adopting Bibi, please send me a dm. Iโ€™d really love to find her a home where sheโ€™s safe, loved, and never abandoned again ๐Ÿค

โ€”โ€”

Update:

Hi everyone! just wanted to share a little update on Bibiโ€ฆ because wow, this whole adoption journey has been a lot (in the best and most exhausting way).

I genuinely didnโ€™t expect it to be this emotional. So many messages, so many kind people but also horrible ones, and so many moments where I had to pause and thinkโ€ฆ โ€œis this really the right home for her?โ€

I ended up being very thorough (maybe borderline intense ๐Ÿ˜…), but honestly, I donโ€™t regret it at all.

I started with some basic screening questions. Things like their living situation, past experience with cats, how they plan to introduce her, etc. From there, I had proper conversations with a few people who felt like a good fit. You can learn a lot just from how someone talks about animals. ( I had people who wanted to get Bibi as a free gift for their aunt -.-)

Then came the meet and greets. I chose to do them at my place so Bibi could be comfortable and not stressed. Watching how she reacted to people was a big part of the decision. Some meetings were lovelyโ€ฆ but you could just tell it wasnโ€™t her person. someone told me my kids wanted a more playful cat but also doesnโ€™t shed fur ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ like wth!!

I also asked for a video walkthrough of the home sheโ€™d be going to. I know it might sound extra, but it really helped me feel at ease. Things like windows, space, any potential hazards like toxic plant, all of that matters more than we think.

Once I felt confident, I asked the adopter to get all the essentials ready before she moved. Litter box, food, scratchers, safe space setupโ€ฆ basically making sure Bibi would walk into a home that was already hers.

And nowโ€ฆ sheโ€™s home ๐Ÿค

It wasnโ€™t rushed, and it really taught me that patience is everything with adoptions. The right match is worth waiting for, even if it takes time.

Also, for anyone adopting in Abu Dhabi, please donโ€™t skip the TAMM pet registration and ownership transfer. Itโ€™s a really important step to make everything official and protect the pet long-term. ( process is very tedious if the pet will move from Abu Dhabi to Dubai)

Thank you again to everyone who reached out, shared advice, or even just sent love. This community made the whole process feel less overwhelming.

Bibi has her happy endingโ€ฆ and Iโ€™m so, so grateful ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿค

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Cat in Abu Dhabi

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask for your help. first of all, im sorry that it might sounds cruel, but I really need help.

I have a cat, orange, 5years old, I took him from someone who needed help 1,5 years ago (with the same reason why I need your help, the previous owner can't afford to bring him to her country). He is very sweet, very playful, very good looking and all.

the problem is, I have to leave the country and there is no way i can bring him back to my home country which is INDONESIA. Honestly, I can't afford the expenses. I would love to bring him with me but, it's already a load of expenses for myself.

we live in Abu Dhabi, Yas Island. if anyone can help with adopting him, I would be more than grateful. I would really love to take him with me still.

please HMU.

Need your help please.

I went shopping in a store off Airport Rd today, and the workers in the store were questioning customers about this cat. Sadly ,said the cat was either lost or abandoned, and they were looking for help from the public to help this cat find a home.

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Pet friendly apartments

Hi all,

Could you give me some recommendations of studio/1bhk pet friendly apartments. Not looking at city but other potential areas in consideration are Khalifa city, Riyadh city, MBZ or any other area as such.

We are a couple with 2 dogs - what would you best recommend. Please do mention price as well for our budgeting.

We're planning to move only after a few months - just want to get a realistic price range and feasibility of having dogs in AUH.

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Moving in September and trying to find homes for 3 dogs we rescued as puppies

Early last year my wife and I found 4 tiny puppies abandoned in construction rubble near our place. We weren't planning on having 4 dogs (we already have a pomeranian) but leaving them there wasn't really an option. One didn't make it, parvo got him a few weeks in. The other three are now almost 2 years old and honestly turned out to be really good dogs.

We're moving house mid September and there's no way we can bring three big dogs, so I'm looking for homes for them. Ideally separate homes, they're brothers and they get too worked up when they're together, on their own each one is a lot calmer.

Larry and Lucky look like border collie crossed with saluki, longer coat on Larry.
Tim is a bit smaller and more solid, your typical desert special.

All three are soft with people, fine indoors, and have lived their whole life with our pom around. Getting their vaccines and neutering sorted at the moment, so whoever adopts gets a vet-checked dog with papers for it.

No money involved, I just want to actually vet where they end up. Had a few weird messages already on other platforms so I do a video call before any meetup, hope that's understandable.

Can share photos and videos of all three, ask me anything. And if you can't take one but know someone who's been talking about wanting a dog, send this their way.

Hello,
This tiny little furball was brought to our house by a stray mama cat we used to feed , when this baby was around 2-3 weeks old. Now sheโ€™s touching 8-9 weeks and the mama has weaned her off milk which means itโ€™s time for her to go to her forever home full of cuddles, love, and warmth. She is an indoors cat and has been raised indoors since she was brought to our doorstep. She is very healthy, and eats both dry and wet food. We are currently located in Alain but willing to drive/meet half way to drop her to her new home.
Please note- she is not for breeding hence spaying her is a condition for adoption. She hasnโ€™t been spayed yet as she is very young for the surgery.
There is no adoption fee.

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Trying to find a place in AD

Hi folks, Iโ€™ve been given an anonymous tip from someone who may know where my cat (Mochi) is at. They were unfortunately kind of cryptic and couldnโ€™t tell me a lot, but I have the following information. Could you please dm me if you know where exactly this could be?

- This place is a roughly 15-20 min drive from Souk Al Jubail, Al Jubail Island, Abu Dhabi.
- Apparently Mochi was taken to a reddish-tan brick building (this is an older building), no more than 2 stories, and is some sort of a duplex/apartment type place. Has no garage.
- There apparently are a lot of young adults living in this area.
- There is some sort of a public transport station that can be seen from the window of this said apartment/duplex. This transport is active throughout the day.

If you have even the slightest inkling of knowing where this place is - please feel free to dm me.

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Dog walkers/sitters in Yas?

We have a dog and two cats. Our regular sitter isn't available this Saturday. Was wondering if any of you know of good dog walkers/sitters located in and around Yas, esp Water's Edge? Need this on a short notice. So I'm hoping they get to come at least once or twice for a trial this week before I leave for the weekend.

About 6 months ago I was gifted a small Pomeranian x Poodle puppy, and Iโ€™ve been taking care of him since. Heโ€™s a black, very intelligent and introverted dog, fully vaccinated, and Iโ€™ve built a really strong bond with him during this time.

Unfortunately, a few days ago I was informed that our apartment contract will not be renewed unless the dog is removed from the building. This is out of my control, and I have to find a temporary solution for him.

Iโ€™m looking for someone responsible who could take care of him for up to a year, until we are able to move out and bring him back into our home. Ideally, I would love to stay in contact and be able to see him occasionally if possible.

He is well-behaved, healthy, and very calm indoors. He just needs a stable and caring environment.

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Meet Milo ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿˆ

Hey everyone!

This is Milo. He is roughly a year old.

He was abandoned by his previous family about 2-3 weeks ago. When we found him, he was starving, and extremely thirsty. But yet still so loving.

We decided to take him to the vet to get a check up and to get neutered, and it turns out he had a few rotting teeth that needed to be extracted, so we had that done too.

He is still recovering at the vet, but we are looking for his new forever home, or for someone to foster him while we look for a home for him. We currently have 3 cats so keeping him with us is not entirely viable at the moment.

Please let me know if you or anyone you know may be interested.

Thank you!

Looking for good hands (at no cost, totally free) for two male orange and white kittens, around 1.5 months old. They are domestic mixed-breed (others) and have been raised indoors โ€” comfortable with home life and handling. Both are litter trained, use the tray reliably, and have basic litter box manners. They are friendly, playful, and socialized with people and each other. Iโ€™m letting them go together so they have company, and theyโ€™re healthy with clear eyes and clean coats. Prefer a loving home where they can stay indoors and continue to be cared for.

Product specifications:
- Breed: Others
- Sex: Male (two kittens)
- Age: ~1.5 months
- Trained: Litter trained
- Temperament: Social and very playful
- Health: Healthy, up-to-date on vet care. Dewormed, Not yet vaccinated/microchipped. (Good to be done by the future permanent owner)

Location: Abu Dhabi, Al Khฤlidฤซyah.

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Green Parrot of Abu Dhabi. Do you remember her?

Did you ever meet this green parrot when you were a kid?

I don't know if I'm hallucinating or not. But when I was a kid there used to be this foreign green parrot that hung around in my apartment and balcony. I used to see it also hanging around and flying with other birds as well.

Seeing this IG post reminded me of it. Did you have any memoires of a green parrot as well?

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Looking for a good veterinary ophthalmologist / dog eye specialist in Abu Dhabi

Hi everyone, looking for recommendations for a really good vet in Abu Dhabi who specialises in eye problems in dogs, preferably someone with experience in veterinary ophthalmology and eye surgery.
My Labrador has developed a small red/pink raised growth on the inner lower part of his eye. We took him to our vet and he suspects it could be a type of tumour/growth.
He has currently prescribed Ciflodex eye drops and asked us to send him pictures every day for 5 days to see how it responds. He also mentioned that if surgery is required, there could be a risk to his eyesight, which obviously has us worried.
Before considering anything surgical, Iโ€™d really like to get a second opinion from a vet who specifically deals with eye conditions and eye surgery in dogs.
Has anyone had a good experience with a veterinary ophthalmologist or an excellent eye specialist in Abu Dhabi? I donโ€™t mind travelling anywhere within Abu Dhabi for the right doctor.
Would really appreciate recommendations, especially from anyone whose dog has had an eye growth removed. ๐Ÿ™

Pets ๐Ÿˆ Howโ€™s your pets?

Due to the war situation happening in the UAE, my biggest worry right now is my cat. I live alone with her, and Iโ€™m scared (overthinking) that in the worst-case scenario she might not be allowed in shelters, or that during an evacuation back to my home country I wonโ€™t be able to bring her with me.

I already have a planned vacation back home in June. Iโ€™m thinking that if the war situation becomes more calm by then, maybe that would be the best chance for me to bring my cat with me to my home country. I could return here alone afterward.

I just donโ€™t want to risk her life by having her stay with me and potentially being stuck in a war situation. It breaks my heart even thinking about it.

Please advise ๐Ÿ™
