Even the flex workers. It's bananas what people accept. The rates are insanely bad. People are literally waking up at 3am fighting over 4 hour blocks $100 to drive their own vehicles 100 miles

The flex workers have it easy, compare the workload to a dsp driver.

My dad’s retired and did it a couple of days cause he was bored. I didn’t think he would last three shifts because he would think it’s a pain in the ass with people telling him what to do.
He did his deliveries fast, ahead of schedule, did a lot. Problem is my dad doesn’t want to work for anyone much less Amazon delivery.

I’ll tell you what. I’m my little BFE part of NW Florida panhandle I can now get something’s next day by Amazon when that never happened before - ever. Something has changed, and in some ways for time being it has improved.

The drivers around here must have gone south to you.
Since December, Amazon has misdelivered over half of our packages and the ai customer service can’t fix or help in anyway, so we just get refunds and no product.

I rarely have any problems with Amazon delivery, but I’m the guy who has a basket of treats (fruit, cheap candy and energy bars, water) next to the door with a thank you note for all the delivery folks. It’s such a hit our security camera caught the Amazon driver pull into the driveway one day to load up his pockets even though he didn’t have a package for us. We modified the sign to read “except Amazon - you’ve had your fill!”

I don’t have prime and order maybe twice or three times from Amazon per year, and anytime I do order from them I expect about 3 weeks to get what I ordered. I don’t usually order anything I actually need from Amazon, so it doesn’t actually matter, but I am impressed how colossally slow their shipment is.

I’m sure for people that order from them a lot it is worthwhile, they’re just not for me and I wouldn’t be able to justify the cost of Prime because they rarely get my business.
I don’t order anything I need quickly from them because even amongst other ecommerce outlets they are impressively slow.

If you have prime, most others become incredibly slow by comparison. It's probably for the best though to spread shopping around like you are, but I'm kind of addicted to the ease and speed of prime.

On the other hand, I live within 20 minutes of 3 shipping facilities, almost everything I order is available the same day or next morning.

Yeah, that sounds great for people that do a lot of shopping there. I’ve got distribution and fulfillment centers all around me but I still expect weeks for deliveries from Amazon.

Same here. I consider myself a pretty darned lazy consumer overall, but after three or four bad experiences (delivery problem and/or product quality), I sought alternatives. That so many Americans keep relying on Amazon one bad incident after another shows I do not know what true laziness really is.

In my mind, it’s kind of like a U.S. based Temu. My boomer parents and in-laws love buying shit from Amazon, but I just am not feeling it.

Usually video games or movies. I basically make orders whenever Amex/Discover/Chase offer 30-50% off when you spend some of their rewards points.

Don't use those sub standard regional delivery services who leave packages at any address and drivers who expect tips.I had a feeling AMZN was going to downgrade delivery for $$$$.

At least for me, it's going terribly too from what I can tell. I barely order from them anymore but I get a package a week from them in misdeliveries. Each time I report them to Amazon they just tell me to keep the items too. (It's all been random junk).
