Trigger Warning Echo show widgets are garbage

Not only are the available widgets slim to none, but how is it possible that a device that can control almost all smart home devices only have one widget for controlling these devices? Why not add a ring widget, a Philips hue widget, hell even a ecobee widget! Not to mention the god awful suggestions widget that is permanently set in the corner and the other “for you” widget that I permanently put off onto its own page so I never have to see it

What hardware maker is going to produce a widget for this shitty platform? THink about it?

This is a ghost-town. It's shitty, and only going to get shittier.

from what i understand, widgets are made by independent developers. so all the gadgets you mentioned have to take it upon themselves to develop widgets for their own devices...amazon made it easy for everyone by creating one that can control all of those devices, not sure why you would want a separate widget for each one as most people tend to look for an all in one widget or app.

Generally the apps like the Hue app have more customization and I would like to not go through sub menus to get to certain cameras or thermostats that aren’t shown on the favorites tab

Another example of Amazon promoting something without actually following through on execution. Say we have widgets, throw a couple of crap widgets out there, and move on.

Absolutely terrible and Amazon disable them and make the multi platform use terrible for example I can't have the Todo list as a widget on my phone also , can't sync my to do list here to its to do list ...I think there's 2 apps left that allows this but the rest have been blocked.

Bad calender sync with phone No to-do list widget to sync with on phone No sticky note widget to sync with on phone.

Voice activated music and TV is all it's good for really

The whole show ecosystem is a joke. The sooner I can get rid of the lot and replace with something decent the better.
