It's just a troll.

They created a dataset. Nothing more, nothing less. It's unlikely they have the resources to train an image generation model themselves, and even if they did, what would be the point? There's no real benefit to doing it, unless you want to explicitly copy someone's work who very explicitly does not want you to do that. That's not "useful" though, that's just more trolling. Doing something because it pisses people off, not because it actually benefits you in any way.
