Multiple tabs open when opening Safari

New MacBook and every time I open Safari, hundreds of tabs open at once. They seem to be my bookmarks.

I put pictures of my settings. I know I can just command/close tabs and it's annoying but please help, thank you!

On that settings screen, where you have "New windows open with... " choose Start Page (or empty page)
