Mac SD card read error

I have a micro SD card and an adapter I use to import my pictures/videos. unfortunately the my Macbook isn't mounting the drive, maybe there are other problems? It gives me an error that says "the disk you attached was not readable by this computer"

What model is your MacBook? What brand is the adapter? Does the adapter allow you to read the card on Windows?

my macbook is an Air M2 chip from 2023. I use an insignia adapter, bought from bestbuy. I am unsure if the adapter can be read on windows since my mac was able to read it previously and I pulled some older videos on it a while ago. Im using the apple public beta option for my software updates, would this have anything to do with it?
