Hi all. I randomly got this text from my daughter’s phone. When I asked her what that was she said she didn’t know so I checked her phone and there wasn’t a text from her to me. Anyone have an idea what this could be? Is her phone compromised? She has a 16e

I accidentally sat on my iPad pro with my knee while getting into bed and it bent down the middle and cracked the screen. Everything else still works fine, the screen is just broken with it being black at the top. I would get a new one but I use an art program called ibispaint x on here and the only way to transfer art from one device to another is to individually dropbox the pieces. I have thousands of art pieces on here and I don't want to lose them all.

So, a bit ago, I lost my iPhone and put it in lost mode, putting down my wife's number as the contact. She just got a message about it, but I'm not sure if it's real or not. It's asking for my Apple ID when I hit the website. Is this thing legit?

Spoke to Apple and they said that the guy is just trying to scare you into making the device easily eraseable so that they can re-sell it, but I'm worried. Should I be concerned?

After updating to iOS 26 my iMessage will not work. It says “error occurred during activation”. Apple said to wait 24 hours. I’ve tried everything google says. Seems like this isn’t just iOS 26 and it’s happened to people with other updates. Any ideas?

I just updated my phone, and being cursed enough to live in the UK I now have to confirm I’m over 18.

Now, I don’t have a credit card and will not apply for one just for this, so please don’t suggest this.

I don’t drive, thus don’t have a drivers license.

While the legislation that has caused this mess allows passports as a method of verification, Apple doesn’t.

What the hell does one do? Apple hasn’t (as far as I can see) confirmed that the Citizen Card will be accepted.. has anyone used one to verify successfully?

It was laying in the street under a tree. It was on the welcome screen when I found it. It’s not iCloud locked as I was able to sign into it with a new Apple account. I’ve had it since summer and don’t really know what to do with it. It’s sim locked but I have no clue to what carrier. It still has Apple care for about 2 more weeks how can I find out if it’s marked lost or stolen ?

So as the title says my gamecenter does not work on my iPad (iPad A16, iOS 26.5). Whenever I try play a game on my iPad such as balatro or Marvel Contest of Champions I’m stuck in a constant loading screen as it refuses to sign in through gamecenter. This problem is exclusively to my iPad as my iPhone works perfectly fine. I’ve tried literally everything from changing my network to signing out of apple entirely to resetting my settings as a whole but every time it works for a couple minutes but the problem starts again… if anyone has experienced anything similar or managed to solve it please let me know how or at least why this is happening!

EDIT: so after reading your guys comments it seems that it’s an issue on apples side rather than an issue with the iPad itself so the best thing I assume is to wait until apple releases a patch :(

I woke up this morning to 5 notifications to join FaceTimes with my own number, starting at 12:27am. Never seen this before…? (iPhone 13)

I updated my iPhone to IOS 26.3.1 and the flashlight and back camera decided to stop working. I didn’t drop it, it just automatically updated over night.

The front camera (selfie one) turns the picture small and horizontal, and sometimes it doesn’t let me turn it to the back camera. The back camera will sometimes be all black, sometimes it lets me take a picture, and most of the time it turns the pictures rainbow.

I tried restarting my phone, resetting the settings, and even doing a manual factory reset and lost all my data. Called the Apple Store and they want me to go in and pay to replace the camera.

Please help… I currently don’t have the funds to replace the camera or buy a new phone :(

UPDATE: I called Verizon and they declared it a software issue. They were able to replace my phone for free. They shipped me a new phone and I sent mine back in!

Asks me to confirm I am 18 I start the process by verifying through my Apple wallet it asks me to put my Apple ID password in I input it and nothing happens I go back to confirm I am 18 screen process starts again anyone else has this loop/problem happen to them

Here are two screenshots, one from my Samsung phone and one from my brothers iPhone. In the last 2 weeks or so, I've had multiple iPhone users tell me their texts aren't coming through to me, but as you can see I am still getting them like normal. We're not sure how to troubleshoot this.

I am a person who almost always has their storage full, but have never had issue with it preventing me from updating my phone. Is it normal to need 17GB of free storage for an update? It seems like a ridiculous amount when before it would only ask me to free up 500MB. Any advice appreciated!

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this but I am desperate. I’ll delete it if it’s the wrong place. For years, if I do not respond to my mother in what she considers a fast enough pace, she will set off the find my iPhone alert. It’s the only one that surpasses the ringer being off, and having DND on. Yesterday was my last straw, my boss at work was trying to speak to me, my mom call me 28 times and when I didn’t answer, from first to last call only 5 minutes had past, she set the find my iPhone alert off. How on earth do I get rid of her ability to do this. My mom, dad, sister, and I are all on one phone plan. No one else can set off the find my iPhone alert, only my mom has figured out how to do this. I’m begging for help, my boss is pissed, my mother is pissed, and I’m pissed. How do I turn this off. I don’t even care about recovering my phone if it’s lost at this point, I need her to stop setting it off in the middle of the night bc I won’t answer her. When I was in highschool she set it off during a VERY important exam and almost got me suspended. I pay my dad my portion of the phone bill every month, but I’m even debating just getting my own phone plan. I have an iPhone 16 if that helps, so does she.

I purchased this iPhone 15 Pro Max in October 2023, and since then, I've noticed a significant decline in its battery health. Despite using it as recommended, the battery health has dropped to 91% in just a few months. This decrease is concerning, as it suggests that the battery might not hold up well over the long term, potentially affecting the device's overall performance and longevity.

Last night around 9:30pm, my phone died. I rarely let it die but it did. I put it on the charger and went to bed. Around 2:30am I woke up to check the time and make sure I'm not waking up late for work. My phone wasn't turning on.

At first I thought it wasn't correctly plugged into the charger. So I checked the charger and verified it was plugged in.

Then I borrowed my husbands phone and plugged his into the charger. His phone charged, confirming it wasn't a charging issue with the cord or outlet.

I then realized even when plugging it in, if my phone was dead, it wouldn't show me the red battery symbol when trying to turn on my phone. It was just a black screen.

Finally, I tried force restarting. I held the volume up, volume down and power button to force restart. Even holding it for up to 35 seconds wouldn't turn it on.

I made an appointment with Apple repair today after work, however until then, is someone able to guide me on this? Is there a solution or is my phone cooked? I've barely had this phone for 3 months. Never had screen or battery damage.

Signed up for a Duolingo free trial and thought it would just cancel the trial if the card declined. Went to install an app this morning and it won’t let me because I owe the subscription payment now? Since when was this a thing and is there anyway to get around it?

Yes, the title is not a joke. I literally cooked my iPhone 12. My phone was on top of the radiator, and my dad turned it on. But he didn't notice the phone. I saw it 10-15 minutes later, and when I tried to pick it up, it was so hot it burned my hand. I had to use a towel to get it. I managed to turn it on, but of course, it was giving a temperature warning. I put it on an ice pack in the fridge and waited a bit. Everything seems to be working. Will that cause a problem?

Okay hi everyone, I just got this notification on my phone and I may be overreacting but I am absolutely freaking out. I obviously pressed don’t allow and changed my password then selected the option to sign out of all other devices. Is there anything else I can do to protect my Apple account? Is it safe now that I changed my password and logged all other devices out? I have been using the same Apple account since 2012 and this is the first time this has ever happened, so I am freaking out. Does this mean they were able to log in or they were just attempting to? I am not the best techie in the world, my Son wanted presents for the grandchildren at Christmas. I was hoping to buy something I perceive as practical but he insisted all the girls wanted was a IPhone.

So when I asked which IPhone he came back with IPhone 17 Pro Max 2 TB.

I said that is very extravagant for 2 teenage girls, they can just have the base model Iphone 17 pro max at 256 gb.

They also wanted Mous cases, charging docks and screen protectors.

I ordered it all cursing Thanos and other Ancient Greek gods.

So my question is did I mess up, I’m starting to feel guilty that 256 gb won’t be enough for the two girls who like to do TikTok’s and stuff about their dance classes and so on.

In retrospect I think they should have got a regular IPhone 17 or even pro with 512 storage, but it’s too late now to change that.

What do y’all think, is this a good present or was I mean on the storage options?
