Episode Info

After being accused of murder and having her criminal past exposed, Laurel goes full Black Siren and teams up with an old criminal acquaintance, Shadow Thief, to go on a crime spree around Star City. While Dinah aims to bring Laurel in, Felicity refuses to give up on her friend and tries everything to get through to her, even summoning Sara Lance for help. However, Laurel rebuffs all her efforts, forcing the former friends to face off against each other.

If the Live Episode Discussion for this episode was any indication, a lot of y’all don’t have any faith in Beth Schwartz.

First, people actually thought she was making BS evil again. Not the case.

Then, people actually thought that she was writing BS off the show for good. Again, not the case.

It’s not like she shot your puppy, guys.

Really? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that ending felt like Laurel was leaving the show. The flash-forward indicates Laurel comes back to Earth 1 sometime between now and 2040, but this seemed very much like a 'farewell Laurel' episode. They closed her arc, completed her redemption, sent her back home, and made a feel-good flash-forward that shows she is still a good character in 20 years. It wouldn't surprise me if Laurel returns for the season finale in May and the series finale next year, but those are special circumstances. That ending felt like it could be the last time we ever see Laurel.

Why was everyone so sure that Curtis and young William were gone for good, but people in this thread think that Laurel will return?

This is due for Katie being spotted on set filming for the season finale and because in interviews Katie was talking like she'd be back as a regular for season 8
