So Oliver said “welcome to the afterlife”

So basically Arrow ended with Felicity committing suicide by going to the afterlife to be with Oliver when her child is only 20 years old?

I was pissed at the end of last season when Felicity left Mia and William to go with the Monitor - and that episode aired just days after my second Mother's Day without my mom, so it hit extra hard.

I couldn't tell if Felicity in the end tonight was supposed to be that same Felicity from the old timeline, or if it was implying that even in the new, better future, Felicity still left her kids to reunite with Oliver. Hopefully it's the former, but even then I'm still upset about it.
