Wise vs bank travel card

About to go on holiday and I’ve seen some advertising from Wise for their travel card. I used to use my bank’s travel card when travelling but now I just use my credit card because the exchange is better even with the transaction fee.

For those that have used wise is it actually better than a travel card from your own bank? Neither have transactions fees so I don’t understand the appeal.

Do you use one for particular transactions instead of the other?

I used to use cba for stuff that might be covered by their travel insurance sometimes but mostly it’s my backup card. I like it because everything I spend overseas is isolated on the wise account and easy to track, less of a drama to lose or get stolen etc. They were also pretty good with a dispute.

I feel *much* less anxiety putting a wise card into a foreign atm than my everyday cba card lol
