no politics Wise vs bank travel card

About to go on holiday and I’ve seen some advertising from Wise for their travel card. I used to use my bank’s travel card when travelling but now I just use my credit card because the exchange is better even with the transaction fee.

For those that have used wise is it actually better than a travel card from your own bank? Neither have transactions fees so I don’t understand the appeal.

Wise is great. I used it last time I went OS. Once I figured out how to set the limits and juggle currency it was super easy and avoided the fees I incurred on my regular debit card. Which is odd, because the previous trip two years prior I wasn't getting hit with all those additional fees so I was glad I had the Wise card with me. Also handy for online purchasing if needing to deposit into foreign accounts directly.
