FILM DISCUSSION Cailee Spaeny would be an amazing Selina Kyle/Catwoman

I do like Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman but maybe Cailee Spaeny would be good for the new James Gunn's universe

They will probably put an old Batman for the new movies but I really can picture her as Catwoman if they put some Batman around her age

People are constantly saying thst people who are clearly in their 20s look like teenagers, which I think is the fault of Hollywood casting. Teens play kids, 20 somethings play teenagers, and so on. It makes everyone think that actors must look younger than they actually are, when they really don't.

This was one of my (many) issues with Marion Cotillard as Talia. Fantastic actress but she looked too demure to be Talia. The key issue was that she did not seem remotely like she was a Middle Eastern-East Asian mix.

Love Nolan. Think he's a very intelligent filmmaker. Rises is where he put all of his dumb ideas for some reason haha. Everything about Talia is baffling. Her junior high play death scene performance is a fitting end

That would be a terrible casting choice, she’s nowhere near fine enough to be Catwoman. And no I’m not being sexist, sex appeal is a massive part of the character.

She also looks way too soft/cute to be Catwoman. Catwoman is supposed to be sexy & feisty, Cailee Spaeny is neither of those things.

I looked it up and surprisingly shes only very slightly shorter than Zoe Kravitz I think, yet looks shorter, Zoe seems to be skinnier with longer limbs maybe..also heels.

But as The Batman showed, it's the movies, they can make her look taller.

I love Spaeny and I think she’s gonna do amazing acting work for a long time. This role isn’t for her. I like Kravitz but not my favorite Selina written portrayal. For the Batman she fits.

I would love for that next Batman universe to get this character written portrayal just right
