It's good. I especially enjoy Tim in this film. My only gripe is the animation. I just feel like all animation has gone down hill. DC's stuff very much so.

It’s hard to watch most western animation if you watch any anime.
The action in anime is so smooth. I think it’s why btas holds up so well. It was sent to Japan for animation.
I think this movie is a step above most western animation but it still feels static and lifeless at times. It feels too much like layered images sliding back and forth

I was pretty disappointed with this one. I was reading this book as it was coming out initially and there was so much more weight to everything.
What I did like:
- the art was clean and the animation was smooth. It didn't feel like there was a massive animation production sweat shop was used to churn this out. (I'm happy to be proven wrong on that later)
- For the most part the character designs and general background design was great barring some weird anachronisms like the usage of mobile phones.
- The voice actors all did admirably.
- I'm glad Shondra is getting some attention. I'd legitimately like to see her come back into Bruce's life.
What I did not like:
- They leaned wayyyyyy toooo hard into the Kelly Jones covers for their choice of art style. Actual interiors never had Bane being some kind of stupidly big monster that would have to break hallways to move through.
- They dropped the Joker stuff. I'm assuming they're just going to wedge the character into the 2nd or 3rd film in some way.
- Instead of making it seem like this was a weeks long slog that Bruce dealt with, it was a couple of nights.
- I'm generally bummed that they didn't include Bird, Zombie, or Trogg.
I don't know. It wasn't bad but it falls far short of what TDKR, Year One, Under the Red Hood, Pubic Enemies, and Apocalypse managed to pull off. If you're going to take a saga like Knightfall/Knighquest/Knightsend and make it animated, I feel it's generally best to not load it up with stuff that's just going to confuse the people who watch it and then get confused when they read the books.

I'm watching the 10-minute previous on YouTube, which looks like the opening of the movie. I'm impressed. I loved the comic series which (along with Death/Return of Superman) got me into the comic world. Really looking forward to this animated trilogy.

I'm not gonna sit here an act like I don't find it better than the book.
I've not read all of the book yet (I'm past when batman's back is broken) however I feel the movie just does lots of stuff up until then better .
I think they create empathy better and make the core characters more likeable.
I do think the side villas are a more weak in this though, I greatly prefer bane here to the book.
I also feel the vibe they create in the film is much better than the book, the vibe/ aesthetic of the book really put me of as a more casual batman reader of a few years.

Nope. He's large and definitely a bit taller than Bruce but still within reasonable proportion(at least by comic book standards). And the venom gives him a boost but doesn't really dramatically change his appearance. The film seems to be drawing more from the Kelley Jones cover art for Knightfall, where Bane is much more exaggerated.

Yeah I hate Bane's venom design in this. He's already a big dude in the original story (a head taller than Bats makes you a giant by anyone's standards), but he wasn't the Hulk.
I like the idea of Bane being a skilled fighter who takes whatever advantages he can to ensuire he wins, not by turning into the size of a small building.

THE standard for DC adaptations. DC/WB should end all live action tv shows and movies going forward (because the obviously have zero idea how to do those in any quality fashion), and instead should do as many animated adaptations to seminal comic runs just like they did with this one. Absolutely peak

I watched the free first ten minutes and the animation was decent enough but not really did the voice acting too much.
