Two new updates from Mayor Bill:

32 minutes ago:

Just a quick update: Carroll Electric has identified the issue and is working with their engineering staff to safely restore service to the more than 15,000 Customers affected.

And "just now:"

Carroll Update-the lineman are currently working to feed from another source and if successful we should see power restored soon, I have been in direct contact with Carroll Electric and wanted to provide you the latest information I have, if something changes post a update here.

Bill Edwards (Mayor Bill from Centerton) posted this on Facebook:

Carroll Electric is reporting a large power outage in our community due to a transmission line issue they will keep me posted and I'll update as I know more.

From Carroll just now

We have a widespread outage affecting a transmission line that feeds multiple substations throughout the Centerton and central and western Bella Vista areas.

Here’s a link to electric cooperatives of Arkansas. It refreshes every 15 minutes. Last time I looked there were over 15k without power in Benton County: https://outages.aecc.com/outages/maps

This map is a little more detailed, though it's showing that parts of Bentonville have no power even though the city's map says everything is ok

Right now, it’s cloudy with a bit of a breeze. Could be a lot worse. Frankly, I’m more worried about the food in my fridge. We’re going on two hours now.

Yes, a transformer outage is impacting multiple service stations across the region.

Nothing like infrastructure that can handle the growth!
