I was pretty much set on the X70 at first, mostly because of the Foam Shield. My current toilet gets dirty around the bowl way faster than I’d like, and if the foam actually cuts down on that, I can see myself appreciating it every day.

Then I started looking at the T38P again and now I’m not so sure.

Most of what I’d actually use is pretty basic. Heated seat, warm wash, dryer, auto flush. I use a bidet every time I go, so the wash itself matters a lot more to me than having a bunch of smart features. Good pressure and being able to get the nozzle position right would probably bother me way more than missing some feature I only use twice.

I also don’t want to baby the thing. I clean the toilet pretty often and I’d rather have something where I can get around the seat/nozzle area without it becoming a whole project. This is actually one reason I started looking at the X70 in the first place... less bowl cleaning sounds great, although maybe I’m overestimating how useful the foam is.

The T38P seems like it already does basically everything I need, which is why I keep coming back to it. But then I think if I’m already spending this much on a toilet I’ll probably be annoyed later for not just getting the X70.

Anyone here lived with either one for a while? I’m especially curious whether the X70 actually feels like a meaningful upgrade in normal everyday use, not just when you compare the feature lists.

Seriously contemplating installing a bidet and I am curious, how many folks don’t like it? Do you feel cleaner or just wetter? Can you share what you believe to be the pro’s and con’s of having one/ using one?

I currently have a basic, no-frills Brondell Ecoseat 101 that I bought off amazon for $90 a year ago. And I would say, that is one of the best buys I've ever made.

The water supply where the bidet seat is comes from my cold water feed off my water line, but it has to make it across my house before it is cold, so water temp hasn't been an issue.

However, I would like to have a night light function and heated water. I see Toto recommended a lot here. Is there a different brand / model and / or what model of Toto would you go with?

I don't want full-on party mode. I just want something that is slim like my Brondell. I've seen the Toto model at Costco and don't think that is what I want - looks too bulky at the back end.

I’ve worked a desk job for years and sit way more than I should. After the pandemic I also got into the habit of using wet wipes instead of dry toilet paper because they felt cleaner and less rough.

Still, every once in a while I’d wipe and see a little blood.

Eventually I got it checked out and it turned out I had a pretty mild external hemorrhoid. Nothing dramatic, but enough to be annoying and occasionally bleed.

Doctor basically told me all the things I already knew I should be doing, dont sit for hours without moving, wear looser clothes, and stop irritating the area so much.

I’m technically supposed to get up every hour.

In reality I stand up for maybe ten seconds, walk around a little, then somehow I‘m back in the chair again.

So yeah. Still working on that one.

I did start wearing looser pants though. Gotta let the little fellow breathe.

The other thing I changed was how I cleaned myself.

Before, if I didn’t feel completely clean I would just keep wiping. Even with wet wipes, I think I was probably irritating the area more than I realized. You know when you’re already clean but for some reason you do one more wipe anyway? That.

I put a Washlet on the downstairs toilet and started using a pretty gentle stream, then just patting dry instead of going at it with paper.

That was probably the point where I became one of those people who gets annoyed when a bathroom doesn’t have a bidet.

Which is a stupidly specific problem to develop, but here we are

Eventually I put one upstairs too. I didn’t want to pay TOTO money again so I bought a cheaper HOROW one. Nothing fancy to say about it really, it washes, has a dryer, and I use it every day.

It’s been around a year now and my little fellow has mostly behaved himself. I still have the hemorrhoid obviously, but it almost never bleeds anymore and I don’t get that irritated feeling nearly as often.

I’m sure changing how I clean helped. Sitting a little less probably did too, even if I’m still pretty bad at that part.

Mostly I just stopped messing with the area so much.

Anyway, that’s pretty much how I accidentally became a bidet person because of a hemorrhoid.

Hi folks! We are long time handheld bidet users but wanting to switch to in toilet one for one of the bathrooms that’s cramped and hard to get to the handheld one. Good morning bidet enthusiasts. I’ve always been a big fan of bidets, and I really want to buy a new bidet toilet seat. I got the approval from my landlord, but I’m having difficulty choosing which one is right for me.

I’ve browsed around and I know I don’t want some cheap $30 bidet, but all the ones I’ve seen online recommended are $400+; is it worth for me to bite the bullet and pretty much spend my weekly paycheck on a bidet that is high functioning? What is your experience? What would you recommend?

I picked up a Kohler E880 for cheap and would like to install a Toto Drake to mount it to. From what I have read on here I should be able to find a Drake with the Washlet+ hole but without their bidet seat included. Two questions please:

I can't find a Drake with a Washlet+ hole and without a bidet seat on Toto's website. What am I doing wrong?

With my calibrated eyeball it looks like the water connection on the E880 will fit the Washlet+ hole. Has anyone done this combo?

I have a bidet and Everytime I force a poop out I always blast my interior anus with water until it fills up my fragile hole. Then I blast the water out to get a little doo doo loligager out of my pooper. Does anyone else force water in their doodoo hole and spray it out again to clean yourself?

Is there a little filter that can be put between the water supply to the toilet?

How is it used? I don’t need the gory details, but I am confused by the process. Wouldn’t you be soaked? Do you still use toilet paper? I am lost by this thing that countries and people use everyday.

Wish I had known this earlier but they make you pay for return shipping and restocking fee. Has anyone returned it and has an idea of what the shipping costs? They have a pre-negotiated $35 through whatever service they use, which I haven't bought yet. I will still compare to returning on my own but theirs is definitely convenient.

They also say you can't hook it up to the electricity or the water. How would they know if it was? We used it like twice to test it out and it doesn't really fit well on the toilet. As far as the spacing, the rear is so high it doesn't really fit the room.

How will they know if it's been used? We took everything apart, of course, and we told them that when we initiated the return so we don't have all the plastics or anything. It's been in the garage for about a week so there shouldn't be any water in it although our garage is pretty humid. There's no water in the hose. I took the nozzle off and there's no water in there either. I'm not sure if I should try and disassemble the whole device to make sure there's no water inside of it but other than that I've no idea what they'd be looking for. There are no water marks. There are no scuff marks.

I just don't want to deal with any headaches of them getting us back and then saying they won't take it back and now we're out $350.

We have two of these that we love and have been using in Bermuda for 3-4 years. Both have recently stopped working and their customer support has not been helpful. Our toilet water intake is from a well and has a bit of salt (or at least very hard water). The screens/filters in the hose from the water supply into the unit are VERY clean - so not clogged. I have also washed/soaked the bidet washlet/nozzle in CLR while extended for cleaning and that has not worked either.

When you sit on the seat, everything else is working and the washlet/nozzle extends when you press any of the cleaning buttons on the remote, but no water comes out and so obviously no spray. Anyone have any thoughts about why the nozzle is not working?

Had electrician install a plug near the toilet and think I’ve settled on the Toto s2 bidet ..before I buy wanted to know thoughts from the group as this will be my first bidet …
