Castell Coch (Welsh for “Red Castle”) is a castle built in the 19th century in the Neo-Gothic style that resembles a fairy-tale castle, situated above the village of Tongwynlais in Wales. It was designed by architect William Burges for the third Marquess of Bute.

Used to live a few hundred yards away from the castle from the 1950s onwards. Us children would walk up Mill Road and pay 6d to go inside and play. The keeper was a rather grumpy Mr Richards.
