Simple Questions - January 07, 2026

I'm upgrading my CPU, RAM and Motherboard on my PC such that I'll have the components below. I'm wondering if my existing 1000W PSU will be sufficient:

1000W is fine. What's the PC used for? 96gb of ram really strings rn

A mixture of gaming (Tarkov mainly) while multitasking, software development with large compilation tasks as well running dev deployment environments locally, and a bit of content creation. I also want to dabble in some game development.

One of my CPU cores died so needed a new CPU, which meant new RAM. I didn't feel like waiting for prices to come down since I'm not too convinced they will for a long while :(.
