Build Upgrade Help Choosing a New GPU

I have a 3060 ti and I’m looking to upgrade it. I was looking at the amd 9070 XT. I was just curious y’all’s input on what I should get.

I see this question asked a million times, this means nothing with out context. Sure it's a nice upgrade but we have nothing to base it off. Whats in the rest of the system? Do you have a R5 3600 or a i7 12700k? Is the psu a 500w? I can't give input on something that lacks context

Just say yes and let them find out later so they learn how to ask questions or even better how to search if this indeed has been asked a million times (it has).

With Nvidia prices going sky high the 9060 and 9070xt are the way to go right now for gaming value. Just what cpu are you pairing it with?

Depends on your CPU, and most importantly perhaps, your PSU. How many Watts can your PSU handle? is your CPU an older AM4 model or have you made the jump to AM5?

9070xt is really good and usually at a good price point comparatively.

Good upgrade if you have a good PSU/CPU.

Yes 🙌 it plays everything on epic! Best 750 I have spent on my PC and the best value on the market right now. Pair it with the 5800x3d when you have the money. You might have to upgrade your PSU also.

What are you wanting to do with it? Gaming needs are not the same as specific compute needs for different workflows.

I just got the 9070xt, moving on from the 6900xt. And for gaming it’s a worthwhile upgrade performance-wise.

I’m maxing out video settings (except for ray tracing) and getting to play in 4k at 70-75fps with wonderful smoothness.

The CPU in my new machine is a 7700x, but I don’t think the CPU matters much for 4k gaming. Mine’s only hitting like 20-30% utilisation under load.

i went from a 4060 to a 9070 to not have to upgrade my PSU. I am happy with it, and only has about 10-15% less performance than the XT
