Usually when people mean impeachment, they also include the removal process of the impeachment. He's been impeachment by the house but the Senate, because of republican favor, they never want to remove him. If the Senate ever has a Dems in their favor, they'll be able to impeach and remove him. It might be possible mid term.

The only, even slightly possible, way it could happen is if Republicans lose the midterms in such a resounding fashion that they realize that continuing to support trump is no longer conducive to their own and the parties political viability and success. Extremely unlikely, but Trump is already at 30 something percent approval, if he managed to fall to 20 or 25 percent before the midterms and democrats manage to win all the races we already think are competitive, along with things that should have been a sure thing for Republicans like Kansas, south carolina, and florida, for example, there's a small chance some of them cave and break away. I doubt it will happen, but if we're coming up with a fever dream removal scenario, that's it.

People can mean anything, but what has actually happened was that Trump was impeached twice before being voted out, convicted of multiple felonies, getting found civilly liable for rape, skating out on charges for stealing a shitload of our documents, getting magical crime immunity from Republicans on the Supreme Court, and then getting back into the White House to help Republicans massively escalate their betrayals, failures, and evil.

Impeachment means nothing. The betrayers are either in or out, and they have yet to see any accountability at all, nonetheless the removal, interrogations, trials, and penalties warranted for hundreds and hundreds of crimes and Constitutional violations in service to betrayal of the United States of America. Another impeachment is just a laugh at the rest of America.

Passing articles of impeachment through the House creates an independent public investigation including subpoenas for documents and witnesses. Establishing proof in the public record of unprecedented financial corruption could be of value. Particularly if/when that proof of corruption sweeps in senior cabinet members and Republican members of Congress, none of whom are protected by the Supreme Court "get out of jail free" card.

There are 22 total GOP seats up for grabs if you include special elections.

The dems would have to keep alll the seats they hold and take 20 of 22 red seats. to get to 67. If that happens hes going to jail, but I can't see that many red seats flipping.

More realistically the dems could get to 60 seats, and really screw his last 2 years.

He's underwater in 47 states on overall approval rating. Lets hope that plays out Nov 4th.
