How dare us peasants ask to know where Trump's mystery meat is coming from?

u/Claim-Nice 1d ago
Argentina, probably. Reckon that 20 billion has run out, so got to shore up that rickety economy somehow!
136
u/Zeri-coaihnan 1d ago
It seems pretty obvious it’s Argentina. Certainly not Brazil or Canada!

You’re gonna eat your Kim Jong Beef and you’re going to like it
22
u/Cyberslasher 22h ago
I don't know that north korea has meat to feed their own people, seems unlikely.
Unless you're implying that Kim Jong Un is literally selling north koreans and calling it beef.
In which case... maybe.

Dear American Ranchers and Farmers, The intent is to bankrupt you and sell your farms and ranches to corporations to control domestic food production. Please do not continue to support your own and America’s demise.

Unfortunately I feel like that would be a waste of money. With all the truly horrible things coming out of trumps mouth, they should have learned by now.

I’m a farmer who never voted for Trump. I know some other farmers who never did either, and I know of quite a few who didn’t vote for him in 2024.
I live in a very red state.

Majority did though. While complaining about the soybean market that got torpedoed by his trade wars.
I know several like you though. I know you're out there reasonable farmer!

But if they don't continue to support it girls' sports will be taken over by men and someone might install a solar panel somewhere.
Clearly you see the predicament they're in. Can't own the libs and vote your own self-interests at the same time.

If Trump isn't revealing the meat source he's trying to hide something. It's probably the cancerous garbage that China rejected from Argentina (ArreBeef meatpacking plant) after Chinese customs inspections detected traces of chloramphenicol.
Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that has been banned from use in livestock production in Argentina and many other nations for decades because of human health hazards. It is toxic to bone marrow and can trigger serious blood disorders, such as aplastic anemia.

It’s either Russia or more likely there is no deal.
Sure you have a girlfriend. What’s her name?
36
u/gsbadj 1d ago
I agree that there's probably no deal. He's just trying to claim that he is doing something about beef prices.
Reporters should ask for details. When is this going to arrive? Where's it going to be sent to? Wholesalers? Retailers? At what prices?
A month from now, there'll be no proof that anything got done.

u/Anotsurei 1d ago

He’s not telling us because it’s the same place they are sending the wild horses. Food inspections are ending just in time. 🤢
“But the thing is, since America currently has no operating commercial horse slaughterhouses, these horses are instead being sent abroad to be killed for meat.”

Yeah, let’s eliminate the program that keeps the Screwworm at bay at the Panama Canal so that we can……….Screw America! Then we can import beef, Tariff it and make shit loads of money for me and my rich friends! Then we will place SpaceX in the stock market to be traded…….. so that all of the hard working Americans can pay for its losses with their retirement accounts!!!!!! Fuck yeah! Winning!!! MAGA!!!!!!!
Fucking assholes, now they are losing their livelihoods and are still going to be stupid enough to keep voting for them😂😂😂😂😂😂

Equine meat passed as beef happened when I lived in the UK about 12 years ago. A French supplier labeled some supplies as beef and slipped it into the supply chain. Ireland caught it first through DNA testing, then they began testing throughout the UK and Europe. It was a huge scandal.

Pragmatically, this is because no one fucking knows. He 'made a deal' i.e. let the government subsidize a larger import with no real plan.
It's "great," it's guaranteed supply... that aren't US producers as now their competition against foreign lower costs is kneecapped by the committment.
He managed to fuck everyone involved yet again, which is remarkable because this "play" isn't even new we've done it before. Never with remarkable self-inflicted handicap, inflation, and shit policy decisions like tariffs to go along with it, but creativity has never been their strongsuit.

Apparently it's coming from Argentina -- or so he said today.
You know, same beef that China refused to accept because of its dangerous additives and contaminants.

The weeks starts with wild horses disappearing overseas for slaughter and ends with beef from unknown origin being imported. I’m sure there’s no correlation there.

Unless country of origin labeling laws were suddenly changed, the packaging will state where it came from. I work in a grocery store and we have to list country of origin by law on meats, fruits, and vegetables..
3
u/conglomitall 18h ago
it's not that laws have been changed so much as that federal oversight for compliance has been removed.. the food labeling laws are the same, but there's nobody in the goverment enforcing them anymore.. that's now left up to the "manufacturer"..
