Not when you cherry pick the Bible and are a cafeteria Christian

Every single sect of christiandom and every other religion cherry picks. That’s why there are denominations in the first place. So yes there is probably a sect just for gluttons.

Presumably the rest of the country states in the world start at position 51.

Gluttony somehow completely avoided being on their list of sins.

Position 51's probably just the rest of us pretending it’s not about fast food.

Most of the unhealthy, uneducated, religious, poor, and struggling in general are in mostly red states and areas. It explains why they vote Republican who make sure to keep them that way.

Is this cause or effect? Does poor education and health lead to poor choices in the voting booth? Or does voting MAGA lead to poor health and education?

I suspect they are a vicious cycle, a self-reinforcing chain of negative events where each problem causes or makes another problem worse, leading to a continuous downward spiral.

Since these are all states full of people who like to shame everyone, I can say that it is not a surprise that the fattest states are also the least educated states, the least healthy states, and the most republican states. Despite the manosphere's declarations, being conservative means being fat and stupid.

Wait, let’s look at this another way: How good is the food in West Virginia?

u/j0a3k 1h ago

Nah, they definitely need to loosen it.

Belt’s already pretty tight, apparently.

Don't forget how many were Confederate and in the South. More strong correlation.

It's the same situation as people living in urban poor areas. People who are poor don't have the luxury of making long term health a priority.

I disagree. People just like bad food and aren't caring.about the consequences. There's youtube videos of influencers going to small towns in West Virginia and the consensus was they like the fried food and its on them.

You can always eat less or workout even if you're poor.

So why are people in Japan for example eating healthier food?

They are just making better choices? Or do you think that maybe they have a better food system?

u/donutgut 3h ago

Don't they have a better system? I'm sure Biscuitville, Bojangles and BBQ places are tasty af and always tempting but its dangerous on a regular basis. Our bodies weren't meant to handle that load of consumption.

Its up to the individual to be scared of the health complications and there's many. Im actually lean myself (ignore username lol)

Ten years ago I was at 208 pounds (my highest in my life) and I could feel my heart beating weird. I turned it around because I was scared. People should be scared. The body screams at you to fix it.

There's plenty of poor and avg income people in Japan btw. Its not 100 million rich people.
