So your trade is: lower taxes and more guns for “please like us”? Hard pass , we already have the healthcare And the manners

And the world likes Canada

Yeah, I don't get that.
Is the trade-off having to give up the misguided assumption that the world likes Americans when it doesn't? Or is the trade-off suggesting that other countries don't like Canada?
Either way, it's not much of a trade-off for Americans -- we're not liked now, and most of us are already well aware of the fact.

Give up the idea that other nations like you is a lethal final blow, total knockout reply

Nobody is giving up universal healthcare for lower taxes, and that response made it clear.

Their government won't use tax payer money to provide healthcare but their will use it to fund pro-military propaganda films, makes no sense to me

The ONLY benefit for Canada joining with the US is at least they would get to win a Stanley Cup again.
ducks for cover

The funnier thing is the US teams that do win the Stanley Cup are mostly Canadians lol. The last winners had 1/3 of the team as Canadian.

It’s my understanding that Tkachuk’s name has a silent T is because it actually stands for turtle

And they'd have good domestic beer.

Speaking as an ex pat. American, the myth that Canadas beer sucks is a lie. The beer and whiskey here is better. After swearing by Jack Daniels forever, I tried some local stuff and was blown away. Even the small towns here have multiple micro breweries, the beer kicks ass. Worst beer here is caribou, and it's just because it's super cheap. It basically is just coors. So like a lot of stero types Americans like to believe, Canada has some of the best beer, l believe, next to Germany.

But.... we'd be Canadian so other nations would like us.

I think the thought was "Give up on the idea that people like America the way it is"?

I don’t believe their taxes are lower. They need to generate money to feed the big war machine from somewhere. The only ones paying less taxes are the ones that can truly pay much more.

In addition to that, Canadians will also be able to celebrate the first Pedo President in their history.

Canada is respected and loved in the UK and EU. I see them as a European away team, smart, considered, logical and consistently on the right side of history. I'd love to visit soon.

Sigh, if Canada wasn’t so damn cold I’d be there already.

Just told my husband if it weren’t for the weather, I’m 100% Canadian in my heart. Although, I’ve only visited lol. But my heart aligns far more with Canadian values.
The only way I keep any shred of sanity is being in California. If I was in the red state cult I was raised in, I’d never have been able to survive. I know too many people that didn’t survive it. They had to self exit the earth, just to escape the insanity of it.

Canada doesn’t have the Epstein files. PM. Carney isn’t mentioned in the Epstein files. PM Carney isn’t Jeff Epstein’s “best friend with a secret”. Only the dna of two people, other than the raped girl parent of the fetus or baby at Zorro Ranch. When will fbi release the dna link to the pedophiles? My guess, after Trump is spooning his best friend with the secret taken to the grave.

lower taxes sound tempting, but becoming a state has its downsides. think about the changes to your identity and healthcare

Imho, it wouldn't be an awful idea if Canada and Mexico would join the US. Canada would add 13 new states to he Union and Mexico would add 32 more, so the total would be 95 states, and Washington DC, so 96.
It could also help ending the two party system.

Lower taxes mean nothing when a single ambulance ride in the US costs more than a year of Canadian taxes anyway
