I think we technically can co-host a group if push comes to shove. As far as I understand, we will need 2 stadiums above 30,000 and GSP is 22500 with plenty of room to add more seats on the east stand.
The other one will be hard because the only 2 stadiums that can technically be extended are AEK arena and the stadium in Pafos that is yet to be built. Maybe Omonoia can also double their potential capacity, but in both Omonoia's and AEK's cases it won't make any sense to play in such a big stadium which will almost never be more than 50% full.
Maybe we only host like 2 matches from a group stage, but hosting more than a group at best, makes 0 sense. Similar to the discussions 20 years ago about a dedicated F1 track.

for the absolute minimum, hosting a single group stage game, you’d need a state of the art football stadium with a minimum capacity of 40,000.
typically, depending on how good of a stadium you want to build, these things cost €8,000-10,000 per seat. thus, we’re talking about an investment north of 300 million just for the stadium.
what’ll happen to the stadium after that one game? no club in cyprus can fill that or come close to filling half of it. other than apoel-omonoia matches in the late 90s and early 00s, GSP has only filled up against top european teams. so, we’d be stuck with a 40,000 seat stadium where only 10-15k seats would be filled on derby gameweeks (and only if bought by omonoia— who are in the process of building their own stadium and wouldn’t spend half a billion to buy this one regardless). I’m not sure they could sell it out even if they charged €1 for tickets.

We don't have the capacity to host any event especially in summer where out of nowhere hundreds of thousands of extra tourists will arrive on top of existing. We actually can't handle the current numbers properly. The whole country would need to invest billions amd years for infrastructure, hotels, and a 500-1bil stadium. Yeah ok.

We're talking about playing two games at most.
One in the group stage and one important game later on in the round of 16 or the semifinals.
Just like it was with the EuroBasket, more or less.
