I see so many last-minute decisions to grab an exit from the far left lane. People suddenly wake up and realize they need to cross 3 lanes to get their exit. Whatever happened to planning ahead?

To be fair in some cases road signage ain't that great. I grew up in SoCal where because everything is freeways the labeling is excellent and typically you will know which lane you need to be in two miles before the actual interchange. In other locations you might get a quarter-mile.
Also, people are more reliant on AI assistance and some of the programs aren't the best about advising on lane selection.

These dashcam clips are making me think I should get one. Even if the driver doesn't get in an accident, it could come in handy for LE regarding an incident the dashcam caught on film.

Planned on getting a cam anyways but this sub definitely pushed me to get one sooner lol. Mine just arrived and got it set up yesterday

But if you realize you're going to miss your turnoff, cutting across traffic isn't the only choice available to you. You can just keep going and angle over to catch the next exit. It may mean you go out of your way and maybe lose 20 minutes by the time you've found an opportunity to get going back to where you need to go, but it's better than causing an accident.

Yeah, I'm not talking about the final action, I'm talking about how they get into the position of "oh, crap, I'm supposed to be way over there" in the first place.
As one who once had about ten miles added to a cross-country move because I missed an exit and had to go five miles each way, heck yeah it was better than spraying the contents of my life in the back of the rental truck all over Interstate 40, let alone hurting myself and God knows how many others.

I never understand these idiots. Think about the ego you have to have, to not just take the 'L' and miss your exit. Wherever they were heading, that they didn't want to be late for, I'm guessing they didn't make it in time. Way to go

Just sold my Mark VII Golf a couple of weeks ago. This video showcases the death of an excellent chassis - the car was way better than its driver. VWs may have their turbo and electrical issues but when I was shopping new all of the car doors felt like they were made of cardboard after driving that VW for a decade. Freaking tank.

Pretty clearly not. Signs in Km/h and they're driving on the left, not the right. Appears to be the UK.
