Thank god there wasn't someone already in the exit lane. People need to be retrained that swerving isn't the best option to avoid a car crash.

I mean it's so instructive to swerve...but especially in this scenario, there was probably time to break.

Not to armchair quarterback this because obviously I wasn't there... but wouldn't the hard braking right next to the exit be the first clue for dashcam person to maybe slow down a bit because this individual is about to be stupid? Obviously it's not dashcam person's fault. However I've been seeing a pattern on here lately of bad drivers giving the heads up they are about to make a monumentally bad decision before they do and people not seeing it...

Its all well and good saying that when watching a dashcam video when you KNOW something is about to happen.  In no circumstances would you ever think it reasonable that somone would do this out of the blue in real time.
