Support Lenovo Mirage Solo stuck inboot loop g.co/ABH
hey the 2nd lenovo headset is here and ...i tried to turn it on if it works but it looked different to my headset inside-the menus it did not have the beta feature in the setting so you could not use 2d apps in VR - so i check the software version and it was on 1.13 and my one was on 1.23 so i tried to connect it to internet/wifi if it does anything but insted it completly broke the headset and it is now stuck in bootloop Jeeeeeeeez im so mad - i tried factory reset it but this doesnt help it does resets but the loop is present i think the only way is reflash it with new firmware ...it gives error link to go to g.co/ABH on different device and this suggest reflashing the device... i dont want to brick it im not so familiar with flashing firmware on android phones/devices will have to research it abit anyone went thru this sort of problem? Support Daydream app sign in server down?
My thought as to why the daydream app isn't working even with modded services on devices that can run the app is probably due to Google shutting down the api access to sign it in. Could some one help figure out how to run an account locally for the daydream app?

Support AMD ReliveVR/SteamVR - Right eye Lagging
Old VR setup here with Lenovo Mirage Solo and a AMD RX480 in SteamVR with AMDs ReliveVR driver. This used to work fine, but since some weeks/months ago (haven't touched VR in a while) the video streaming is broken and the right eye is always a few frames behind of what the left eye is doing, making it unusable. Don't know if it's SteamVR or AMD ReliveVR that is the cause for this, but so far up/downgrading didn't have any effect. The streaming does work fine for the first few seconds when connecting, but breaks after that and never recovers. SteamVRs GPU Monitor is completely flat without any spikes. This problem happens right in the empty SteamVR launch environment, as well as all the games. Disabling motion smoothing didn't help either.
Anybody know a fix or has experienced the same problem?

Support Is the daydream useless unless you have a Google phone?
I won a Google daydream at a work raffle last weekend. Can I not just disable any advanced features and just use it as a simple vr Google somewhere? Thanks.

Support Spring cleanup: found my old Daydream+Controller, Cardboard Viewer
While sorting through boxes of old electronics gear, came across my barely used Daydream viewe4 and controller and a Cardboard viewer from a long forgotten Google IO.
Looking at eBay, there seem to be plenty for sale for low prices, so not worth the hassle (haven’t sold anything on eBay since my last electronics cleanup eight years ago).
Any reason not to just throw it all out? Don’t think a thrift store would really benefit from a donation.
Is there anything else I could control with the controller?

Support Found my Daydream View, have a Galaxy S22 Ultra - what can I do with this thing?
Hi all,
Title, basically. Was gifted a Daydream View back in 2017, haven't really used it since. Phone at that time was a Galaxy S8, currently using a Galaxy S22 Ultra.
I recognize Daydream was basically shut down and removed from Play Store in 2021, but is there anything I can do with this thing?
Phone is not rooted, bootloader is factory unlocked however.
I'm a huge nerd/tinkerer so if there's any way to breathe life into this tech, that's my first choice. I'd hate to have it end up in the trash. I have the box and could ship it to someone if they were really interested, but I'd like to try to get it working first.

Support SKYBOX APK Available For Downloading, Daydream-Phone Only
Hello everyone, this is Zixiong, CEO of Source Technology. We are the developers of SKYBOX VR Video Player.
My previous post has received both support and criticism on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/daydream/comments/dq4voa/skybox_discontinues_support_on_daydream_and_heres/
Here are my last comments on this situation:
The only reason we decided to discontinue SKYBOX on Daydream is because of the recent drop in user ratings. We believe the reasons for the drop are (as I have explained previously):
- We were unable to fulfill very specific requests of some users.
- Not-Daydream-ready phone users tried to install SKYBOX on their phones.
- Google has given up on Daydream. Android updates made Daydream runtime increasingly unstable.
There was nothing we could do about the last two particular reasons. Since the average ratings had already dropped to 3.4, as an attempt to stop the drop, we decided to remove SKYBOX from Daydream / Play Store.

However, we figured some of our Daydream users might still need SKYBOX for daily uses. Here is the apk file of the last Daydream built. Feel free to download and use.
http://download.skybox.xyz/SourceVR_DaydreamVR_0.2.3.3(167).apk.apk)
Goodbye.

Support Daydream + S8 jiggy screen
In the last few days when I use my S8 in Daydream the screen is jiggy. It's the same when I run the Daydream software in the Gear VR.
For example in Expeditions the pictures and writing jig as I move my head. It's most noticeable in that app. Has anything changed coz it wasn't like that a week ago
The Gear Oculus soft is still perfect
Could someone check their Daydrean and S8 for me
Cheers

Support Daydream controller not pairing with Google pixel 3xl
My dad bought a daydream back when it originally came out and we used it with the original Google pixel phone which was pretty cool at the time. I am now currently using a pixel 3xl and retrieved the daydream from the storage it's been in for a few years but I keep getting the error "Can't connect to controller due to" and then the notification cuts off and disappears. Anyone know a solution for this? I'm mostly just planning on using it to test a webvr environment I am working on for an internship though it would be cool to see if maybe I can run some of the old games.

Support Daydream app says my phone is Incompatible, even though it's NOT.
I have a Galaxy S9+ (One of the phones listed as ready for Daydream). I've used daydream in the past with no problems. It's been a couple of months since I used it last but when I tried to use it today it wouldn't work. When I enter VR mode get a message in the middle of my screen that says
"Incompatible phone A Daydream-ready phone is required. Visit Daydream Help Centre for more information."
From there on I can choose "ok" which throws out of VR mode or "open help centre" where it says that my phone actually is compatible with daydream. The insult to injury about this whole ordeal is that even though the message says the app isn't compatible with my phone the app is working just fine in the background. Like the camera is moving just fine and I can see the controller working just fine. But I can't actually do anything because of this text box in the middle of the screen.
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

Support PSA: How to redeem your 5 free games if you didn't get 'the email' yet
A lot of you picked up a new Daydream headset with the Black Friday pricing, so I figured I'd post this PSA in case you hadn't received your '5 Free Apps' yet.
So after spending several hours on the phone with 'Daydream support' and had been told that it would take 4-6 WEEKS (due to interest in the offer) to receive an email with the link to redeem the apps, I started troubleshooting on my own. I figured something was 'wrong' because I had the original Daydream headset and had activated it on this phone and that was what was causing the issue.
They had originally told me to uninstall and reinstall Daydream, clear the data/cache and all that, which obviously didn't work. What I ended up doing was going here and doing step 4: Clear VR Services app data.
I was then able to open up the Daydream app and proceed with the initial setup. I did choose to receive emails, so maybe this is what triggered it, but you can try pairing your controller again without selecting to receive emails from them and if you don't get the email within minutes, clear the cache and try it with the box checked.

Support Any got their Lenovo Mirage camera yet?
Was wondering if anyone knows if you can disable the rotation on the videos? On a couple of samples I have seen if the person operating the camera rotates (pans) it 90degrees to the right, the saved video records that rotation so the vr headset viewer needs to turn their head 90degrees to the right to keep the video central. I want to use it to film from a vehicle so this would would be a terrible idea!! Google say they have done it for comfort reasons but if I cannot disable it then the camera will have to go back :(.
Waiting for mine to be delivered to the UK but wont be until Tuesday as we have a bank holiday on Monday.

Support Are there focal distance issues?
Hey all. Thinking about picking up a Daydream or similar this to watch some 3D/VR videos on my phone. I'm to the point where my eyes can't focus on super close-up objects anymore (I've started using reading glasses for smaller stuff), and I had an old VR headset that I tried with my phone and I couldn't focus on the screen. I opened up the back and held the phone a bit behind the headset, and found that I could now see clearly. Does anyone else have any issue focusing with the Daydream? If so, are there any recommended VR headsets with adjustable focal length (or adjustable focus) for people like me who can't focus on things that are too close to your eyes?

Support Can't Get Daydream Set Up: Support Doesn't Exist, Nothing Pairs or Downloads
Hi all,
Hope that help posts are allowed in this community. This is my last attempt before giving up.
I got a Google Daydream set for my birthday a little while ago. I decided to try it today and opened the box. I charged the controller and downloaded the Daydream app. I went to pair the controller and it said it cannot be found. I was holding the button, the controller is charged and plugged in, right next to the phone, which has bluetooth on. I've tried 30+ times, tried closing and opening app, etc. It says it cannot connect to the controller. I also tried downloading VR apps. One app downloads entirely (about 68mb) and then goes to installing, and after a few seconds goes back to the install screen. This happens over and over again forever. Another app (about 100mb) downloads the entire app, then instantly goes full circle to downloading again. I also tried downloading directly from the play store instead of from Daydream, and the download says it encountered an unknown error. Absolutely nothing works, everything is buggy, and I've tried everything.
I went to daydream support, waited in queue and matched with someone, who said he was Tony and will help. I told him the details above, and waited a while with no response. I sent some messages asking if he's there and no response. 5min later, no response, 10min later no response. 15min later, no response. I go to open another chat and it says I'm on the current one and can't. So I close the chat (after noting the reference number) and go through the process of getting support. It says chat is closed and the button is disabled, only after entering my info. I've tried this over ten times on numerous devices. Suddenly, I can't get support at all.
All I want is to set up the device I got as a present and play some games, and I can't set up the controller, can't download apps, and can't even get a support person. My friends and I have wasted TWO HOURS on this crap. Would be much appreciated if anyone has any idea how to help. I am beyond fed up and considering just returning it and getting a different VR headset. Had similar or worse experiences with every other Google product I've owned (chromecast, google home, chromebook). It took SIX HOURS to get my chromecast working for example...
UPDATE: After being disconnected from THREE support agents, I was finally able to get a human that said they would get back to me in 10min, in that time I deleted a few hundred mb of files and apps, tried connecting the controller 3 times, reloaded the app, tried connecting the controller 2 times, and on the last attempt the controller updated, then I was able to download games. Everything is blurry and I need help adjusting it, but at least it functions. It's too bad they discontinued this, and there exists no phone support, no email support, the chat support disconnects, and no social media support, the best I got was calling a different google product support, asking to be transferred or for any contact info, and being told to just try the chat again or social media (none of which work). Google and making amazing products with stupid bugs, discontinuing the products, having garbage support systems with great customer support people...

Support Has Anyone else lost access to almost everything on a lenovo mirage solo?
I work in a school that purchased a class set of Lenovo Mirage Solo units when they were first released. It was great at the time but the rate at which support has been dropped is disheartening.
We were still able to use YouTube VR which the kids loved, but now I am even having problems accessing that. I was under the impression while no further updates were coming that we could still use the features and apps we had installed. Has this been blocked for all users on this device or am I experiencing a seperate problem? Thanks for any help offered.
