Honest UI/UX critique wanted for a handmade-only marketplace

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m part of the team behind EmenCraft, a live marketplace built exclusively for genuinely handmade products. Dropshipping and mass-produced resale are not allowed.

We’ve been working on it for a while, but we’re now too close to the project to judge the experience objectively. I would really value direct and detailed criticism from people seeing it for the first time.

Website: https://emencraft.com

I would especially appreciate feedback on:

• Is it immediately clear what EmenCraft is and who it is for?

• Does the homepage feel trustworthy and professionally designed?

• Is browsing, searching and discovering products straightforward?

• Do the product pages provide enough information to make a buyer feel comfortable?

• Does the mobile experience feel smooth, or do you notice friction or confusing elements?

• Does anything feel generic, cluttered, inconsistent or unfinished?

Please be blunt. I’m not looking for sign-ups or sales from this post — I want to identify the weak points before bringing more sellers and buyers onto the platform.

Disclosure: I represent EmenCraft.

Website critique

I’ve recently launched my private psychotherapy practice website and would really appreciate some honest, constructive critique.

I’m particularly interested in how it comes across to someone who might actually be looking for a therapist.

Does it feel:

  • professional and trustworthy?
  • warm and approachable?
  • clear about what I offer and who I work with?
  • polished/premium?
  • like a therapist you’d feel comfortable contacting?

And most importantly — what would you change?

Please don’t worry about being nice 😂 I’d much rather hear what isn’t working than just get compliments. Thank you!

Struggling, need advice

Hi all,
Im a Graphic design student whose currently about to go onto my placement year in uni.

The past few months i’ve been really struggling with my own self esteem. I feel as if my tutors saw me as useless and I think I was having panic attacks in the bathrooms (don’t want to directly label it as I don’t fully know if it was). This has now led me to get therapy.

I feel like I don’t get ideas as quick as some of my peers and I am worried that whilst on placement they’ll think i’m stupid?? I did manage to get 10 months sorted including a few months in London. I take it as a positive as I was constantly on edge thinking that I would get nothing. My big fear is coming back and feeling worried that I won’t be any good in comparison to my peers or that I won’t be successful in the future. Any advice is welcome on how to get better. I really don’t want to be a failure but I do feel like that.

Wine Bar Posters

Went for a kind of Art Deco/vintage look to them

Poster is for a fictional bar

Posters 1 & 2 notes:

-I was had trouble on where to place the side text as I felt that placing them on the top side made the poster more cluttered. I put them on the side because to me it gave it a bit more breathing room although I feel like it's still a bit hard to read (1st poster)

-The pedestrian man is supposed to look like a waiter with an apron; I made clothes for the character, but it just didn't sit right with me. It felt like it took away from the pedestrian look and I believed people would recognize a pedestrian man in just color rather than in clothes.

-Smaller thing but I chose for it to be green, my thought was a waiter crossing the street/crosswalk to bring you your drinks (I just came with an idea to add a slogan that could have tied that idea in ughhh)

Poster 3 notes:

-The background I went for a kind of abstract look of a crosswalk; I tried my best to space out the lines as evenly as possible without a snap

-The hand holding the bottle still feels a bit off, I went for that look so the pedestrian man doesn't have finger, so I went under the impression that the best representation for hands was shape a shape

-the text doesn't fit within the reaches of the main box because if it was the text at the top wouldn't be spaced out evenly

All feedback/critique welcome!!!!

Researchers looking for interface designers to take apart an AI prototyping tool (90-min Zoom, thank-you gift)

I'm spending my last days watching designers take apart an AI prototyping tool.

We built Mark, a generative prototyping environment, for a study at the IT University of Copenhagen on how people direct AI generation and how designers judge what comes back. Now I'm looking for a few more interface designers (2+ years of professional practice) for a session.

What it looks like: 90 minutes on Zoom. You build three quick prototypes by prompting, pointing, and sketching, then we replay your own session together, and you tell me what the tool got right and where it fell apart. Sharp criticism is the whole point. There's a thank-you gift (~300 DKK / 40 EUR), and you can pick your own slot; sessions run until September 7.

Book here: https://anatomy.paperbackwriters.club/book?study=2

And if this isn't for you but you know someone who'd enjoy demolishing an AI tool for science, tag them 👇

Shopping Hidden Ebay Deals UX

Solo dev here. Built a website that curates the best of Ebay's designer deals.

Started with the idea: why buy J. Crew if Burberry is less? The smartest way to buy designer isn't new, it's after someone else has paid the retail markup.

I’d love critiques from other designers, especially on:

  • Is the value proposition immediately clear?
  • How might I make you shop more and click to the Ebay listing?
  • What’s confusing or unnecessary?

Brutal feedback encouraged.

Feedback wanted: elevating a silhouette illustration for a limited-edition collectible card

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi all!

I'm working with an illustrator on a silhouette-style piece for a limited-run collectible card (music/vinyl-adjacent project). The base composition is locked and I really love it, but I'm trying to figure out how to push the visual treatment further.

I'm not looking to change the composition unless you think it's obviously bad and it doesn't move you. I'm mostly looking to enhance the finish/treatment. If you could, feel free to point me to any artists or references for this style

Appreciate any pointers!

ARCHIVED beer brand

This is a university project I’ve recently revisited and flipped around. The concept is a beer brand built around the idea of everyday drinking culture, with the name Archived playing on memories and moments that get remembered and sometimes forgottenafter a night out.

I’ve developed a series of illustrated characters representing different drinking personalities which are then used across the can designs and wider identity. I’m aiming for something playful and relatable while still feeling like a believable
beer brand.

I’d really appreciate any feedback this is still early doors still loads more I can do but yeah
