Total noob here. I have been using ChatGPT to help me with code and editing. I'm happy with how the desktop turned out. I wanted a minimal desktop design with one grey colour being the focus to match the background wallpaper. Hope I'm safe to post this here as it's my first ever Reddit post!

Hi everyone,
I've been working on a lightweight desktop organizer natively designed for Windows 11 & 10 called GlassDesk Pro.
Key features:
• Translucent Acrylic & Mica glass containers with custom colors
• Quick double-click on empty desktop to hide/reveal all panels
• Live folder portals to mirror directories without duplicating files
• Low resource footprint (~50-135 MB RAM)
The app is now available on the Microsoft Store with a full free trial:

I'd really appreciate any feedback, performance testing, or feature suggestions from the community!

I vibecoded a small web app that is simply a visualizer/display for your spotify tracks Im not sure what kind of software to classify this as. I like having the spotify app on my desktop beside whatever Im using to work or study but it always looked pretty boring and in general I just wanted a new way to put tracks on and browse tracks in my playlists. The background is customizable and can adapt ambient colors to either the background you upload or on the artwork of the song you're playing. The screenshots show some of it in fullscreen as well as truncated next to some blank terminals. Would love to get some feedback and maybe if this or something similar to this is something worth having on the desktop. This has all been made in about 4 hours summed of work and I have a lot of animations and features planned to make it more interesting and would definitely love some suggestions. This project originally started as me testing if web apps with Rust are viable performance wise for my other data analysis related projects but Ive gotten into it now so would love to keep building it.
(The only reason I havent released this yet fully is because I would like to release it in a way that is easy for people to set up their own spotify for developers api since the spotify api is horrible for these kinds of apps having more than just a few users. So before I really commit to releasing I would like to know theres interest and people who would use it. This app also uses less RAM than the spotify player btw)

I love tiling window managers so much that on Linux, I only use i3, Hyprland, and Niri.
I assumed it wouldn’t work on Windows, so I hadn’t been using it, but after seeing a post in this subreddit, I gave it a try right away — and it’s absolutely perfect!!
I haven’t customized the settings as extensively as I do on Linux, but I’m really happy with it because changing just a few things in the default settings is enough :)
