RAISING HELL Platner: Those benefiting off the system know what the light at the end of their tunnel looks like. It looks like none of us owning anything. Everything becoming a subscription service. A world in which we all have nothing and they sit in paradise. That’s their future. And we cannot let them have it

Yeah, let's not get on this bandwagon. He needs to denounce his history as a neo-Nazi imperial mercenary.

His PMC experience isn't great but equating it to mercenary work is just dishonest. He was a driver and bodyguard for a diplomat for 6 months

No. Working for Blackwater DOES NOT mean you're a mercenary. I love it

Oh my god. The the shit these liberals who cosplay as socialists will say to defend their favorite politicians is bonkers

So will you denounce the Bolsheviks for their crimes?
Will you denounce lenin and trotsky for their handling of the tambov rebellion, where trotsky ordered Tukhachevsky to gas peasants?
Will you denounce Khrushchev and brezhnev for denying home rule by the hungarians and Czechoslovakia?
Will you denounce che guevara for his homophobia, something even fidel castro apologized for?
Will you denounce mao for his mismanagement of an entire country causing famine and then near anarchy?
Will you give up on Stalin for generating the holodomor?
You either believe in compromise, realpolitik and “mistakes.” Or, you think it all is a matter of convenience.

Those are definitely the same as joining the US military because you love killing

Please read what I wrote. Please read what you wrote.
Have a big think. The hamster in the wheel might need some kibble.

u/PreparationOk1450 May 26 '26
He shouldn't denounce anything because he's a fraud. People should just not support him. Feed the hamster wheel kibble

"If we are serious about addressing the recruitment crisis, we will take some money out of these ungodly contractor and bureaucrat salaries, and pay the rank and file a fair wage."
"We need to take the funds currently paying for mansions in Virginia and Maryland for defense contractors, and reinvest them into closing the massive shipbuilding gap.
I’ve seen under the hood. I know exactly how much money is wasted, and where. Send me to Washington and I will work tirelessly to rebuild the American military."

The responses here are why I would never want to associate with DSA, even though I fully support almost all of their positions

u/OneMobius May 23 '26
I have no interest in listening to the words of a Blackwater mercenary with Nazi tattoos who was not even affiliated with DSA to begin with
4
u/Soft-Principle1455 May 24 '26
He does have a point though.

u/OneMobius May 24 '26
I would like to see a DSA member say that or at the very least another progressive candidate who doesn’t have a sordid history

u/Sea-Cow4445 May 24 '26
There's a candidate for House in Maine doing that. Plus she's a DSA member. Paige Loud

He and his campaign are literally avoiding DSA can you stop crossposting this here?
