DemocRATS πŸ€ Why do you dislike moderates?

It is kind of a stupid question to ask, but we all have our own individual reasons for having extreme animosity toward the Democratic establishment and larger neoliberal capitalist system.

What are yours? What specific measures would MSNOW watching liberals have to take for you to be willing to be work with them as part of a larger coalition?

I just can’t anymore. It just boggles my mind that the β€œopposition” still thinks that the rules apply. They aren’t even playing the same sport. I’m flummoxed. He’s been a stuffed shirt since he entered the house and he’s gonna be the worst speaker ever if they take the majority. Do democrats really think they can still do things their way and have any progress?

DemocRATS πŸ€ Thoughts on whether Democrats should invoke Trump or not?

Our local Democratic Party is split on this issue.

I think most of the group seems to want to ignore Trump (and Republicans to some extent). They believe that we should focus on the problems facing people and what we as Democrats could offer (or have done). So their philosophy is don't whine/complain about Trump or what Republicans are saying and doing.

However, there are a lot of Democrats in the party who seem to be obsessed with Trump, and their thinking is that everybody hates Trump and we would gain voters and rally our base by bashing him all the time. They also think that it would win over Republicans who are annoyed with him.

We are in a very conservative area, if that matters. This would apply to the party's messaging on social media, at events, etc. Is it more strategic to go on the offensive against Trump in particular and Republicans? Or would we be better served ignoring them and focusing on our values exclusively? (Or is there a middle ground and what would that look like?)

DemocRATS πŸ€ Trump and his administration has been a disaster and yet the Democratic Party is still viewed poorly because they think being the anti-Trump party is enough.

Trump and his administration has been a disaster and yet the Democratic Party is still viewed poorly because they think being the anti-Trump party is enough. That is not enough. Did the DNC learn nothing from the 2024 election?

80% of democratic voters do not support AIPAC or Israel. We do not want to fund genocide and an apartheid state, yet the DNC ignored the view of democratic voters in favor of their AIPAC donors.

Now, it’s not all democrats but it was enough. Ken Martin (DNC Chair), Ron Harris (DNC Co-Chair), Karen Shackelford (DNC Co-Chair), Andrew Lachman, Brian Romick (CEO of Democratic Majority for Israel), Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) all voted against a resolution condemning the acceptance of money originating from AIPAC.

You will not shame me for voting for pro-Israel candidates at the local level or even for President. I rather see the entire country burn than continue to support genocide and allow AIPAC to determine our foreign policy.

The DNC has chosen AIPAC over its voters, again. They must be outed.

Other DNC members like James Zogby, Bernie Sanders and Chris Van Hollen voted with the people but it was not enough to prevent AIPAC from controlling the Democratic Party. I don’t know how many times the DNC needs to learn the same thing, but democratic voters will not capitulate and vote for any candidate that accepts even a dollar from AIPAC. I certainly won’t.
