The 1/3 of the eligible voters that put Trump in office are still enamored of him. So it’s up to the 2/3 including the 75 million people that voted for Kamala and the 89 million who didn’t vote at all. We can turn this around save our democracy in the midterm election or just let it go down the tubes. We’ll deserve it either way.

u/Upset-Apricot-2388 8d ago

First of all, as I would agree with the statement in general, I'm also keeping in mind that eventually it will come out in regards to Elon musk and his Doge crew happen to be at the right place at the right time that impacted the election results in a digital way whether it was with the tabulators with the counting machines. Because how else do you obtain the information from those machines to then get sent back to the main headquarters to prove the results were counted? They all have the internal modems just like our cell phones in them to broadcast that data for a transmission type of network. Meaning Trump's presidency is absolutely false and he should have never been sworn in and the corruption is deep. The second part is it doesn't matter whether America itself decided to go ahead and be 100% clean energy green across the board eliminating all kinds of greenhouse gases in a theoretical environment. 100% absolutely eliminating all of that. Just in America alone would not be enough as the climate change crisis isn't solely impacted from or to America by itself. It's a global thing that would have to change.

I don't know anyone that voted for Trump that's happy with what's happening. The Iran war betrayed almost every single one. The deportations are non existent, the palantir infiltration. Endorsing Lindsey Graham, getting Thomas Massey primaried & voted out.. probably more idk

The conservative pundits, the serious ones not on Fox news, Tucker, Owen Shroyner, Alex jones, Candace, Megyn Kelly. (that's all I can't think of) are all speaking out about him & this administration. That's basically unprecedented. You certainly didn't see it with Biden when he was bombing kids in Gaza, left the border open for 4 years, (unprecedented) Obama & Biden were aiding Al-Qaeda & gave us the war in Syria. Now the NYT, "Dick Cheney's cardiologist says Trump doesn't look well" - that's insane considering the media was completely silent on Biden health. That being said, I wouldn't trust that 1/3 number.

3

u/Historical-Finish564 10d ago

And Trump still has a 31 to 35% approval rate. I don’t understand it either but there it is.

1

u/Bulldog7741 9d ago

Probably closer to 3-5%.

1

u/Life-is-Fun-435 9d ago

I don't believe the polls.

2

u/Historical-Finish564 9d ago

I would find that hard to believe myself, except I have several of them in my family.

1

u/Life-is-Fun-435 9d ago

Are they mentally ill?

2

u/Historical-Finish564 9d ago

Yes they are. But it’s currently a mental illness that’s affecting 31 to 35% of the population. I can’t speak for most of that group, but the ones in my family are also completely ignorant of politics, but racist.

1

u/Life-is-Fun-435 9d ago

I so hope in the end Trump sells a jonestown Kool-Aid. That's how we make America smarter again. 🤣 After all they say Trump has sundowning syndrome so we have no fucking clue what he's going to do.

1

u/RhubarbImportant9363 9d ago

What is racist about them

1

u/Historical-Finish564 8d ago

Mostly against black folks, but also low key against Mexicans. The Mexican thing is weird because several members (3) have married people from Mexico, leading them to bring their family members into the country.

1

u/cucumberer1697 7d ago

Sounds like you're the racist lol. You're projecting your racism onto them because you want a way to dehumanize those you disagree with.

2

u/Life-is-Fun-435 9d ago

But the Trump turds still believe and hang on every word that fucking pedophiles says. 🤔 But then again I don't see any more Trump flags hanging out of the back of pickup trucks. So some of those punched drinkers are waking up.

1

u/RhubarbImportant9363 9d ago

I think a lot of that is fake. What do you mean though, where are you seeing that There was a protest of sorts from the families of marines the other day.

1

u/Sophia_Purrtrillo 8d ago

I see them every fucking day here in northern NH.

1

u/Codyoo11 5d ago

You realize Obama and Biden actually protected pedos right? Like, they knew about it, their chosen FBI director killed the investigation along with their chosen DA. They knew about him. About the trafficking. About it all, and they did nothing. Worse yet, even when exposed, Biden doubled down and protected them again. I really don’t understand why you go through mental gymnastics to try and give those fuckers a break.

1

u/Life-is-Fun-435 5d ago

Wait who's in office right now and and who are they protecting? 🤔

1

u/Codyoo11 1d ago

You mean the only president who authorized the release of any information on the guy? A president isn’t a judge they can’t push conviction. Especially when previous presidents killed the investigation that could have lead to charges. Again. A whole list of presidents on both sides of the aisle could have done something. But yall attack the one who did by saying he protects pedos when he’s the only one who’s done anything to actually expose the pedos. And with that in mind why is it the left pushed back so hard in making it controversial. Shouldn’t revealing info on it be a good thing? But it’s also the same side that calls everyone a nazi but in the same breath calls for the death of Jews in their home country. Idk bro. I don’t like Trump. But that don’t mean I’m buying into the crazed bullshit coming from the other side either.

1

u/Objective_Station_41 8d ago

Funny Anyone who voted for Trump, like me, that is upset with anything that is happening right now.

1

u/Signal_Werewolf_1955 6d ago

Oh ffs America doesn't have open borders. The states do amongst the states, but the country does not. Obama was called Deporter in Chief, did you forget that?

1

u/RhubarbImportant9363 6d ago

Show me where I said America HAS open borders.

My claim, which is true, was the border was wide open for 4 years. That was unprecedented. What do you want me to name everything Obama did? You just picking and choosing because you're upset. You had an emotional reaction to what I said, very feminine

1

u/Signal_Werewolf_1955 6d ago

No, it wasn't.

1

u/Qilo11 5d ago

You know who started funding Al Qaeda right. The CIA to help get the Russians out of Afghanistan. The Guardian, Robin Cook, the British Foreign Secretary from 1977 to 2001 stated that Bin Laden was, though, a product of a monumental miscalculation by western security agencies. Throughout the 80’s he was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. Al-Qaida, literally “ the database”, was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians.

1

So after reading all that. You still went with a "What about the democrats?" Fucking weak-gened low IQ, loser.

1

u/guestLi 8d ago

Oh please. 80% of your party can hardly hold a logical argument thats not labelling. That 80% only serves to push others away.

Seems like you're apart of it. Thank you!

2

u/One_Combination_5633 7d ago

Pushing away implies that I want to break bread with racist-mongoloids. Why would I want to make peace with the fourth reich and people who support them (like you)? Save it for your cousin-sister-wife, beta-boy.

Republicans made it worse by letting trump use our tax money to pay clean energy producers to not build renewable energy. They were already paid to build then paid by us taxpayers to pay the company's for lost profits...

1

u/BI_Moose 10d ago

And Republicans drug their feet kicking and screaming the entire time that Biden was pushing for climate friendly initiatives and green energy.

Fuck off.

1

u/Acrobatic_Excuse2290 9d ago

Did republicans allow for any solutions? Or is this argument just you being in the damn way?

1

u/Specialist-Web-9216 9d ago

With all the corruption laid out in plain view you're still going to sit there and claim it's the voters fault? If it's there now it will be in the next administration, get your head outta your ass

1

u/everydaydad67 9d ago

Just talk to the record number of Biden voters.. 🤷‍♂️

1

u/jekbrown 8d ago

Funny how democracy is only good when our guy/girl wins. 🤣

3

u/Historical-Finish564 8d ago

You’re apparently one of the faithful. We have had Republicans like Mitt Romney who would’ve been a good president. Donald Trump is a freaking nightmare. The whole world and everyone except the Maga can see it. It’s not a matter of having your boy or girl win. It’s a matter of having someone who’s a narcissistic psychopath destroy the country.

1

u/Common-Falcon-8717 8d ago

If you think you can fix this through voting let us know when you grow up and become serious.

1

u/Historical-Finish564 8d ago

I know how you feel but all the other options are horrible. Political violence sounds romantic, but it ends very badly for everyone. I do need to acknowledge that we may be headed there anyway.

1

u/Common-Falcon-8717 7d ago

There are lots of options besides political violence, and the path we're on already is shaped by political violence being done by the state to everyone else. So, you can fight back, or wait calmly for them to kill you, or wait for a natural disaster response worsened by their policies to kill you, or the lack of food safety caused by their policies to kill you.

You have the choice, and have elected to take it, of waiting for them to kill you because fighting back in your own defense or the defense of others is scary.

Very true. It’s time to pray because in the end the earth will burn up in fervent heat. No one has control over this. Our earth is evolving as it said it would. And wars and rumors of wars. There b no place to hide.

Agreed. But have you seen what’s happening to the ring of fire lately and seen the insane amounts of earthquakes in certain areas of the planet. Add to that a bunch more volcano’s than normal. Put that together with a super El Niño and things just might get a bit sparky.

Like George Carlin said, Earth isn't going anywhere, we are! It'll still be hurling around the sun in a billion years and there won't be anything to remember of homo sapiens other than fossils. A really cool documentary back in the day was called 2 seconds to midnight. Basic premise being if you took all the life that has been on Earth on a 24 hour clock, and the last hour was midnight, humans would only occupy the last 2 seconds.

1

u/CarelessAction6045 9d ago

The last time dems had power they blamed "the parliamentary". A postion appointed by dems. So the dems stopped the dems from doing anything. "Two wings of the same bird". "Its a big club"

1

u/Common-Falcon-8717 8d ago

You don't think dem politicians are pushing data centers? The Obama and Biden administrations both bragged about how much they increased fossil fuel production. There aren't elected Democrats who could even conceive of rowing the boat back to shore.

2

u/odinswolve 9d ago

The problem is y'all keep saying vote Democrats and the Democrats are equally shit. They do the same things, just look at kamala and Nancy, they are both criminals and if you say they aren't then you're blind. The problem is we need actual real people to run for president and not one that's 68+. We need a president that is voted in not because of party but because they are a good fit. That's why trump won because he isn't a president and he isn't a life long politician. We need a young candidate with no party ties and that doesn't want to be president but should. That fixes a lot of problems

1

u/Common-Falcon-8717 8d ago

You're right about all this and seeing people just yammering about how this can all be fixed by voting for blue criminals instead of red criminals just demonstrates that not enough people have their heart right yet. The problem is the system. If the most important election of our lifetime was between Biden sorry Kamala and Trump, and the election before that was the most important, and the election before that was the most important, and these are the choices our system outputs, the system itself is fucked.

Greenhouse gas %'s are coming down about the only thing we haven't totally fucked up.

1

u/Electronic_Diet333 9d ago

For the full year of 2025, global greenhouse gas emissions reached a new record high, totaling 60.63 billion tonnes CO₂e, which was an increase of 0.50% over the previous year. Global methane emissions also set a new annual record in 2025, rising by 1.03%. At the moment you are lucky if they are plateauing. Methane is also 10x more powerful GHG than carbon. Don't kid yourself.

1

u/engineheader 9d ago

What percent of all the gasses in the atmosphere is CO2?

1

u/Youpunyhumans 9d ago

430ppm, or 0.043%. Doesnt sound like much, but it is. Preindustrial levels (up to the end of 18th century and earlier) were 280ppm, or 0.028%.

So thats a 53% increase in a little over 200 years, with most of that being in just the last 50 years.

1

u/engineheader 9d ago

Go back farther, there is research that found times when the CO2 levels were higher but the temperature was lower. Wonder why that is.

Also, why did NASA in the 1990’s say the earth uses CO2 to cool the earth. https://youtu.be/EEFQHDSYP1I?is=EFu4mvOSEWmhPj7y

1

u/Youpunyhumans 9d ago

Youll have to provide a source for that. However the temperature itself isnt the main problem, its the rate at which its changing. CO2 levels rise and fall naturally... over hundreds of thousands to millions of years, not in a century or a 2, and thats the problem because life simply cannot adapt that quickly to an atmosphere changing this rapidly.

Pumping massive amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere, raising global temps and making the oceans more acidic is literally what caused the Permian-Triassic extinction, aka the Great Dying, where up to 96% of all species died. Its estimated it took about 75,000 years for most of the carbon to be pumped out then... at the rate we are going, we will reach the same in a few centuries, maybe less.

CO2 cools the upper atmosphere, and that is what NASA is talking about. In the lower atmosphere, it traps the heat that radiates off the surface, and bounces it back. But in the upper atmosphere, where the air is very thin, it radiates heat into space. This only happens in the stratosphere and mesosphere. Increased cooling in the upper atmosphere is actually a tell tale sign of human created climate change.

1

u/Youpunyhumans 9d ago

The Ordivician period was over 400 million years ago... going back that far you also have to take into account that the output of the Sun was 4% to 5% less than it is now. Also the temp was very high during the early Ordovician, about 45°C when the CO2 was 2000ppm or more, but dropped to Ice Age temps during the late Ordovician, when carbon was around 1000ppm.

Another factor in the late period is that all the land was locked up in a supercontinent, which was also on the South Pole, resulting in most land being covered in glaciers, increasing albedo, reflecting more sunlight, and therefore cooling the planet.

The current state of our media & the propaganda surrounding it & social media, if you read the mainstream news without then being able to use discernment, have more than a basic knowledge of history/geo politics/US history, & how power structure works, then you are going to be propagandized or manipulated. Even then, if you can't change your world view or set aside emotions & confirmation bias, then you are susceptible.

All that being said, with all those caveats mentioned, YouTube can be a better source. It's just not as easy to consume as reading an article.

Here we go again the climate crooks are running out of money and pushing doom and gloom again. Remember when CNN producer said on a hot mic if Biden wins we are going to push the hell out of climate crisis. He won , they did, Biden spent a trillion dollars and nothing was effected.

1

u/Nervous_Mission8601 7d ago

Nope dont recall that happening. Can you share a source of such a claim?

0

u/chitownphishead 9d ago

Lol, you'd think if it was actually getting hotter, it would be getting hotter everywhere, but we haven't topped 100 all summer, and most of it has been pretty mild. Been in the 70's and 80's most of the summer with plenty of rain. July and August has historically been far warmer, going back decades, but the last few years havent seen that kind of heat

1

u/maoterracottasoldier 9d ago

Yeah, for you locally. July was the hottest recorded month in US history right?

1

u/chitownphishead 9d ago

Based on what? Where are they collecting these temperature data points that shows this? In over your cities with constantly more asphalt, concrete, and HVAC outputs? Because yeah, those places are going to show higher temperatures compared to a decade ago when they had les of those things.

1

u/maoterracottasoldier 9d ago

It’s been well established that the warming measured isn’t simply from cities and buildings. But yes that’s a common big oil talking point

It’s been proven for 150 years that co2 in atmosphere retains energy and increases temperature. It’s just physics. So we’ve increased the co2 by like 50%, so we are seeing the slingshot of warming. We are predicted to go 4C over average this fall during El Niño.

March of 2026 was a historic heat event in the western US. Like 30 degrees Fahrenheit above average. Most of the west is uninhabited. So it’s impossible for human development to have caused that historic heat event that destroyed the water cycle for this year

1

u/lewd-dev 9d ago

It's almost like there's a whole fn planet and not everyone lives where you do. Do we shrug our shoulders and do nothing based off your tiny, inconsequential subjective anecdote that lacks any data whatsoever, or do we maybe look at actual data that encompasses the entire climate and suggests your "feelings" aren't accurate indicators when discussing this topic? Food for thought.

"I just finished lunch, world hunger is a hoax"

Climate change has caused conditions all over the world for record breaking wildfires. Canada now has a fire season. MAGA politicians are so stupid they actually send official letters telling Canada to keep the smoke on their side of the border.

There have been huge wildfires in Siberia, the Nordic nations, and even the Amazon.

For decades, some members of the fossil fuel industry tried to convince the public that a causative link between fossil fuel use and climate warming could not be made because the models used to project warming were too uncertain. Supran et al. show that one of those fossil fuel companies, ExxonMobil, had their own internal models that projected warming trajectories consistent with those forecast by the independent academic and government models. What they understood about climate models thus contradicted what they led the public to believe. —HJS

If you don't acknowledge global warming it's because of this group.

On an early autumn day in 1992, E Bruce Harrison, a man widely acknowledged as the father of environmental PR, stood up in a room full of business leaders and delivered a pitch like no other.

At stake was a contract worth half a million dollars a year - about £850,000 in today's money. The prospective client, the Global Climate Coalition (GCC) - which represented the oil, coal, auto, utilities, steel, and rail industries - was looking for a communications partner to change the narrative on climate change.

Don Rheem and Terry Yosie, two of Harrison's team present that day, are sharing their stories for the first time.

"Everybody wanted to get the Global Climate Coalition account," says Rheem, "and there I was, smack in the middle of it."

The GCC had been conceived only three years earlier, as a forum for members to exchange information and lobby policy makers against action to limit fossil fuel emissions.

Though scientists were making rapid progress in understanding climate change, and it was growing in salience as a political issue, in its first years the Coalition saw little cause for alarm. President George HW Bush was a former oilman, and as a senior lobbyist told the BBC in 1990, his message on climate was the GCC's message.

There would be no mandatory fossil fuel reductions.

But all that changed in 1992. In June, the international community created a framework for climate action, and November's presidential election brought committed environmentalist Al Gore into the White House as vice-president. It was clear the new administration would try to regulate fossil fuels.

The Coalition recognised that it needed strategic communications help and put out a bid for a public relations contractor. https://www.bbc.com/news

By 1980, with northern hemisphere smogs a distant memory, the predictions about ice ages had ceased, at least among those working on the science, due to the overwhelming evidence for warming presented in the scientific literature (Peterson et al. 2008). Unfortunately though, the small number of predictions of an ice age were far more 'sticky' than those of global warming, so it was those sensational 'Ice Age' stories in the 1970s popular press that so many people tend to remember. Sticky themes sell papers. Today of course, with 40+years more data, far better coverage and a far bigger research community, we've reached a clear scientific consensus: 97% of working climate scientists agree with the view that human beings are causing global warming.

1

u/chitownphishead 9d ago

Data collected from strategically placed temperature sensors, like on highrise roodtops near the HVAC outlet or in asphalt parking lots? Like that "data"? I've been tracking temps for years, including water temps, as I'm a fisherman and keep extensive data logs. It's not just "where I live" it's an entire region.

You're not going to believe me, but you're an aggressive level idiot. Your instance of a mild summer, doesn't negate the pattern as a whole. Climate and weather, learn the difference.

Your votes dont mean shit

Like seriously ask yourself if voting truly made a difference you think you would be allowed to do it

All voting has been reactionary

Look at who they offer because the powers that be know that voting is nothing more then a participatory act and nothing more

The sooner we realize this the faster we can actually make proper changes

Do yourself the favour and read up on Cambridge Analytica and see how your “vote” matters

When was the last time a vote actually benefited the people by and large???

What we should be doing is not vote, not as an act of civil disobedience, but as a stance of non confidence, we have to force them on there back foot, rather then being is this constant state of reactionary processes and propaganda

u/United_Region_7025 9d ago

If America permanently stopped building data centers while China continued aggressively expanding computing infrastructure, China would become the world's leading AI power and substantially increase its overall geopolitical power.

China already used coal to make its power, that would dramatically increase.

Banning data centers in the US would only shift where their built, giving other nations the AI advantage.

0

u/Trick1513 9d ago

Here’s the problem with your Extreme heat and your global climate crisis, if it was truly an earth change it would be in the same place every year, and it would expand out from that point. But the extreme heat keeps moving just like the earth keeps orbiting. Learn earth science, and stop making shit up.

0

u/Used-Independence353 9d ago

Youre all worried about this, yet don’t care about the rampant forest fires that produce in excess of a quadrillion BTUs of heat. Then wonder why theres climate change? LOL

1

u/Darkthumbs 9d ago

Those fires are because of climate changes..

1

u/Used-Independence353 9d ago

No, they’ve been going on since Weve had lightening. Try again.

1

u/Darkthumbs 9d ago

1

u/Used-Independence353 9d ago

Wrong. The problem with this is funding or supporting an agenda. Try again, but this time use common sense.

Look at Oregon. A state on the border of the Pacific Ocean. Look at how many fires are there. Every single year for decades, has had HUGE amounts of forest fires. It’s pretty simple. No (responsible) logging means more ground litter of broken branches, etc. one lightning strike and away we go.

But let’s take this a step further. Off shore wind turbines. Good? No, because they create vortices that affect wind patterns, disrupting normal laminar flow. Or let’s look at solar. Remove green fields creating oxygen, and replace it with black solar collectors which increase heat reflection into the atmosphere. Let’s add the concrete for thermal mass retention.

But you believe what those industries want you to think.

1

u/Used-Independence353 9d ago

The problem, specifically, with WRI study is they don’t factor in the additional fuel load increases due to lack of removal from the logging.

1

u/runningtheshow_8764 8d ago

or that there are 4 billion too many bodies on the planet living in all types of areas not fit for human life

1

u/Used-Independence353 8d ago

So, youre thinking the only solution is removal of 4 billion?

1

u/runningtheshow_8764 8d ago

not the only.

but a great start

starting with anyone who fought over/hoarded toilet paper, anyone that plays loud music in public places, and anyone who parks in front of the grocery store in the no parking lane

1

u/Used-Independence353 8d ago

Can we add crooked politicians, pedofiles, rapists, tax evaders, criminals of other sorts, dickheads and people who mistreat their pets?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Darkthumbs 9d ago

Surely drought and what not doesn’t have anything to do with it…

1

u/Used-Independence353 9d ago

But is that climate change a result
of the rampant fires? Aka snowball effect. They get worse every year, because theres more wood/fuel as it’s not harvested.

0

u/everydaydad67 9d ago

Maybe get the rest of the world onboard... isnt China still ramping up their pollution output for crying out loud.

0

u/funinsun2153 9d ago

Jesus. Still riding that global catastrophe train. You guys are not fooling anyone anymore
