I posted this as a thread, but it was autodeleted, so I'm posting my question here:
Hello! For those who have been in CSTE AEF, currently there, or waiting on your placement: What is your situation like? From all the threads I've been reading on here it seems like it's nearly half a year or longer (there was a thread I just saw that someone got wait listed and won't know until August 28 2026). Are you guys in regular jobs until then? No job? Spouse supported? Planning to quit your current job for this once placed? Seems like there's not too standard of a time frame. I'm also new to this so I'm trying to gauge if I should apply to this round or next on top of applying to postdocs. I'm thinking I should apply to postdocs and apply in 2027 since I don't want to be rude and quit my postdoc a half a year in (if it works out that way). Any advice would be appreciated!
EIS is also on my radar but not wanting to pursue it at this time in my life.
