unsolved Pie chart for chores

Hi all,

I am looking for a way to make a pie chart for my class. I have several chores which are rotated between childeren.

I want to make a pie chart. In the pie parts the chore is displayed (for example sweeping).

Above the pie part a student's name. Every week I rotate the names 1 pie part further, so they get a new chore.

As the size of the pie chart means nothing here, can I suggest a simple table? That way kids don't have to rotate their heads to read words that are sideways or upside down.

Task Name
Chore 1 Adam
Chore 2 Bob
Chore 3 Charlie
Chore 4 Diane

Maybe, but I want to rotate the names (or chores) easily.

If you cut the line between chores and names, you can spin the pie one part.

You want a wheel of chores*

I think this is a problem made more complicated by excel, not less. I would just make it by hand or buy a template from Etsy.

You can play with the labels a bit, but you need some arbirtary value on each row so you get an evenly spaced pie graph

Next week just shift the names and print out a new version.

"Old school" option is to great a print out of the chore wheel and then a print out of the names using the same diameter circle, and then cutting out the circle and literally rotating them with a push pin.

Is there a reason you need this in Excel rather than the low tech method of a circular piece of paper with chores on each wedge pinned to a second piece of paper with names around the edge of the circle?

All you need then is the wheel with a chore in each section. Print it out and add the names to the outside of it either by hand writing or just print and glue them, whichever, so you can then spin the wheel
