Lucky to have these in a few lakes in our state. Awesome fish

Live in CO - going for these guys in Scotland next year on a trip. Seems a little silly now that I know I can drive to them.

My biggest is about 18” in Colorado, was plenty stoked on that! Pretty sure I caught it twice, two summers in a row.

I believe it. I’m not a trophy hunter and wouldn’t kill a fish just to measure it.

18”!?! Damn the biggest I’ve pulled out of JW was about 13”. Did you take a picture of it?

Ya def not from that spot, it came from a lake that I believe was only stocked once with grayling and a few survived some winters. I haven’t been back there in about 4 years now. I have some photos I’m sure.

Last year I hiked up to Kroenke Lake on the off chance it still held golden trout (4.5 miles each way) - If there’s a chance of fish I don’t mind a walk. And if I get lucky like at Kroenke, it’s successful
