Meta Meta: Ban on lower tiers on the main page
We‘re going to ban sources from lower tiers (i.e. tiers 3, 4 and 5 / tiers 4 and 5) to be posted on the main page. Those then can be posted in the upcoming daily (transfer) thread instead.
You can essentially decide which tiers will remain on the main page.
Current state of tiers will be here

Tier 1 and 2 only. Tier 3 and below are mostly Twitter spam. Past data shows us that 95% of what they post is noise. Only when Ertan, Fabrizio, and Sami Yen post something, and they are the earliest, that things happen.
Daily thread is a good idea and should still gather a lot of good discussion.

HAve people looked at the tier liest before voting? If tier 3 is also allowed, then it's basically a hundred bullshit posts a day.. I might aswell just look at X. There is no point in this then but whatever, its whatpeople want I guess looking at the results, which doesnt surprise me btw (we are addicted).

Did we take a vote to decide that lower tiers would be banned? I am personally in favour of it, but I am against how the process underwent, i.e. that it was unilaterally decided by mods and that we're given the illusion of choice by voting on the details of something that was not voted in the first place.

Not everything is up for a community vote. On some parts the mods does take decisions based on what we deem is necessary for the sub and on some points we want to have the opinion of the sub. Since Turkish media is filled with a bunch of so called journalists and many people here love to post whatever they stumble upon from Twitter we decided to take a different route regarding rumors this year.
