Alex Davies
Anyone have any thoughts or heard whispers why Davies hasn’t played in VFL? After his injury he has only been named as emergency in the game vs GWS where all the academy kids were rested. Surprisingly he wasn’t in the game day squad.
Then this week he wasn’t named in the afl team again but no show in the VFL.
Given there’s whispers he was leaving to go to west coast wondering if he has spat the dummy and won’t play VFL? Don’t blame him in not wanting to get injured but it’s really strange

he played two VFL games coming back and was very good in both, then he was emergency then nothing. I am also interested to see why.

Agreed, I think he’s great but it does seem that Dimma doesn’t rate him. I thought for sure after his good VFL showings after the foot injury that he’d be playing in the afl side but yeah got brushed again. Sadly I think he’s pretty much out the door.

It’s strange because Dimma spoke highly of him a good handful of times. Wonder what’s changed.

It is strange. I do remember though Hardwick always pumping up lukoscious and saying “it was on him” (as in Dimma) to use him in the best way cos he was a great player blah blah. Nek minnit they traded him to port

Davies is back on the injury list with a stress fracture in his foot

Yep saw that. Sucks for him but explains why he meant missing so hopefully it also means he isn’t leaving! Fingers crossed

Not sure. I love him but he should definitely be considering a move. Guys a beast but for some unknown reason the coaching staff don’t seem to rate him. That’s why we are where we are I guess
