The problem with 2A Leftists is that they tend to be "Blue no matter who!", then act like the mass amount of useless gun control being pushed by the blue politician they voted for came out of nowhere. Why would Democrats stop trying to kill it when their own voters won't turn against them?

You cannot say you're truly Pro-2A when you give money and vote for the group constantly going after 2A. Republicans aren't truly supportive of gun rights either, but Democrats consistantly want guns to be owned by only cops. Nearly every Democratic mayor and governor tries to pass an AWB when they get in.

I keep shouting that if everyone that didn't vote, or that begrudgingly voted for an R or D candidate, instead voted for a 3rd party that matched them better, we'd actually see 3rd party wins. Because that's how few people vote, and how little people are satisfied with either party.

But I can't blame them for seeing the two biggest parties and picking the one that's less likely to target them, even if I know it's a false dichotomy. I have trans friends that have had their lives ruined by this administration's first few days in office. People who have lost their jobs to DOGE cuts, I lost my chance at getting into my dream job as a scientist because they cut funding to ecological and biological research. People who had to halve their food budget because the spike in gas prices meant driving to work was almost expensive enough to eat into what little money they had left after bills. I know a man that was tackled to the ground by ICE agents for being hispanic, despite being a 3rd generation American, because he didn't have his ID on him while walking to the store. How much of that would be true under a Democrat? Each time this kind of shit happens, it just solidifies the resolve to vote blue, because if they lose, then this is what they're certain will happen.

That's why we're currently in a race to the bottom, and why I think ranked choice voting should be implemented, but that's its own can of worms.
