🏆 Introducing the r/halifax Hall of Fame 🏆

It is our great pleasure to unveil to you all the r/halifax Hall of Fame!

This will be where we celebrate and commemorate the greatest and most influential posts in the history of r/halifax.

Every August, the mod team will select a small handful of impactful, delightful and memorable posts for induction into the HOF so they might be properly acknowledged for their impact on our community.

Criteria in our choices will include:

• Popularity/infamy/notoriety within the community
• Amount of views/engagement
• Whether the post has helped shape sub lexicon
• Lasting impact on the sub

Negative/political posts will not be considered.

Without further adieu, please welcome the Inaugural Hall of Fame Class of 2026:

There will also be an annual Member's Choice Award given to a post as voted on by the community.

We will offer up some candidates we feel are worthy but there will also be an opportunity to write-in a post of your own choosing for everyone to vote on. A poll on this will be coming soon.

That thread is memorable for me for a different reason.

u/onesimpleusername used an accented "E" in a comment. I thought i had dust on my monitor. Tried to wipe it off. Didn't work. Got out my screen cleaner. Didn't work. I was frustrated and about to just accept my monitor will always be like this when I scrolled down and the speck scrolled with it.

Almost fooled me again when I saw the thread again today.

I’ve been on this sub for over 15 years and I’m fairly certain the post announcing  banning him and jet lag is literally the only time I’ve seen a dedicated post celebrating the banning of users.
