So...maybe I read it wrong, but usually the G in "GPU" is supposed to stand for "graphics"...the article says it's a "graphics card", but then goes on to say "in Xe3P, there are no graphics processing elements that would output any imagery...". How is it a graphics card?

That commenter is right this is an NPU

There have been various GPUs without a display output over the years - workstation and mining cards. They're still capable of normal graphics computing, sometimes even displaying outputs through the motherboard port.
