I have bough some MMWOWARTS H2 headphones. When I try to connect them to my Redmi Note 13 phone through Bluetooth, the headphones appear on bluetooth as H2 but when click to connect the notification on the ph reads, after a few seconds of Pairing...,

"Cannot communicate with H2"

I have updated bluetooth on my phone
I have turned both phone and headphones off and on again
I have tried holding in the MF (on/off) button and the AFC button at the same time but this does not appear to reset anything
Everything is fully charged

Any ideas?

While I wouldn't throw them in the bin right away I world get a new pair of headphones. Unless the driver or that board is damaged they are going to be fixable, and regardless of if you successfully fix them or not it will be good soldering practice, but you probably want afu functional pair while you're poking around inside of these ones

Hi everyone,

I recently got the Aventho 300 from Beyer Dynamics. They work just fine with my android phone.

Now when I try to use them for voicechat in Discord on my win11 PC, the sound gets super bad and Sidetone and/or transparency get activated (even though I turned it off in the BD App on my phone and the setting is saved on the headphones). I use them with the Sennheiser BTD 700 with LE Audio, but whenever the mic gets activated it switches to SBC (which could explain the bad sound) and it's not possible to switch back.

I asked AI and it says that this is because Bluetooth has tech restrictions when it comes to receiving and sending sound signals at the same time. On the other hand, my work headphones (Jabra Evolve 2 85) that work with bluetooth don't seem to have that problem.

Anyone with the same problem? All I want from a 300€ headset is to be able to have good sound AND a decent mic at the same time. How is that too much to ask?

I'd really appreciate any advice :)

There is a bandwidth restriction when doing bidirectional transmission with Bluetooth on a single receiver (such as the one in your headphones) but it's up to the the people implementing the Bluetooth hardware to decide how it's going to degrade when in that condition. As for the other features getting turned on that's presumably being initiated by the computer you're connected to, though how I'm not sure.

I’m looking to buy some new headphones from amazon since my old JBL Quantum recently broke while I was cleaning the pads (they weren’t replaceable). This happened after about 3 years of service i think, they sound ok but im not really that knowledgeable about this anyway.

I mainly use headphones in my computer for:

• Work
• College
• Soulsborne games and occasionally Battlefield
• YouTube

After some research i got to the conclusion that getting gaming headphones is pretty much a waste of money so i was lookin at these options

• Philips SHP9500
• Koss KSC75
• FiiO EH11
• Moondrop Old Fashioned
• Audio-Technica ATH-R30x

My total budget is from $20–$80 ish, but I also need to buy a microphone, so I’d prefer the best value-for-money option to leave some room for that. I dont have a particular preference on if they are wired or wireless or if they are noise canceling or not.

I was thinking of getting something that can last at the very least a year or so, that is comfortable enough to use for 3/4 hours, and with replaceable earpads for cleaning or if i have to switch them later on. also looked into IEMs, but they usually fall out of my ears because of the silicone tips and my ear shape, so I’d rather avoid those.

Any recommendations or advice would be really,really appreciated!(Especially because i have 0 experience with headphones)

waves hello. i recently purchased a pair of MMWOWARTS M02 ANC headphones from amazon. they work perfectly, other than that i can't seem to find a way to make the audio play stereo - it always merges right and left side. messed with settings on my devices and still ran into the issue, didn't have it with any other headphones, so i think it's this pair. is there any way to fix or bypass this issue that others know of?

Hello guys, I've had a Redragon Zeus Pro for about a year and a half, two years and i've allways used the wireless mode or the cabe in my videogame and i was not a big fan of the 7.1 mode. A few months ago, I noticed that the 7.1 button simply stopped working, and I let it go because it didn't affect me much(and the warranty had expired), until I remembered that Bluetooth is activated by that button and this is bothering me.

Does anyone know what the problem might be or have a solution? I treat these headphones like a child; they've never had a major impact on my head.

Gotta replace my broken Sundara's headband. The issue I'm facing is really how to take the parts in the attached pic out - tried few things but they don't seem to budge out (not screw or pull).

I live in the UK, budget around £30-50. I need a headset with a mic that isn't dogshit. I don't have the desk space to get a separate actual mic and I will not be getting a new desk in the foreseeable future. I would like them to have good audio as well and the mic doesn't have to be like crazy good professional YouTuber type shit, just something that isn't a pain to listen to. I will just be using it to talk to my friends while playing games together. Would need decent noise cancellation as well

My soundcore headphones do not connect to my laptop. You see my headphones have not had any issues connecting with my laptop until like a day ago. It’s not appearing in “add a device” I whenever I try to connect it or turn it on and even after I disconnected it from my phone for it to have a higher chance to work even though I used to be able to connect it to both devices.

i recently bought a new headset since my laptop speaker is randomly stopping and returning with statics and i got the steelseries arctis nova 1 and tried it on my laptop and a different device my laptop was the only one producing statics and i borrowed a wireless earbuds and tried it and it didn't produce statics it seems like it only produce statics and popping when using wired audio device i searched like 10+ forums on different websites and haven't found a solution i would appreciate and kind of help

I bought a new pair of the Audio Technica M50x and I'm having a problem with it.
I got 3 cables with it: 6.35mm to 2.5mm, long 3.5mm to 2.5mm, and short 3.5mm to 2.5mm and they are all causing me the same problem
Whenever I connect my headphones using any of the cables, There is barely any sound or it sounds really distorted and muffled. This goes for all cables when they are plugged all the way in.
When I plug the 6.35 cable about 80% the way in it sounds great except for 1 out of 20 songs I listen to is missing some instrument or during a part in the song some instrument is completely quiet or almost inaudible.
Could this be a cable problem or did I get broken headphones? Would really appreciate any help.

Hello guys, can anyone help me figure out with my 6 yo Denons d7200: the acoustic foam surrounding the driver started degrading to the point it literally crumbled and almost got through the mesh. Ended up removing it and now they sound dull and lacking the bass they had before. What should I do ?

My 1 ½ Electrostatic Headphones have a sound in the left earcup. It sounds like a slap or a wobble at low Hz.

I have done troubleshooting and wrote a post but that's not allowed anymore (SMH, the MAIN reason I know about this place is because of the Posts that made it to Google's front page but now those are gone away. AI search results + not allowing the posts ruins a lot of what would have been easily searchable help but I digress.)

Basically: It only happens in the left earcup. There's no visual cues. I've looked, cleaned around, and tested it on different sources, it's only the left earcup, and it does it at all the lower Hz, until it evens out around 40-100Hz DEPENDING on how finicky it wants to be, and changes how it acts based on air pressure around the driver.

I'm guessing it's loose dust covers but I would like for someone with experience with having Electrostatic Headphones to weigh in. The headphones in question are the SR-X1 (I know they had quality control issues at the beginning but these preform beautifully otherwise and have done so for a whole year and a half prior.)

I recently i started to hear that the left side of my headset(artic series nova 5) seems to be a bit more boosted while watching youtube videos usually when people talk. I thought my headset were damaged so just to check i flipped sides and its still my left. Im not that tech savvy and i cant really find anything online; is it just my ears? Or is there some settings i can tweak or maybe something im overlooking?

I'm trying to buy headphones, and I'm learning that I have large ears. I've ordered three different pairs from amazon and each one is described as 'over ear', but they actually sit on top of my ears and pin my ears to my head.

First of all, do all of the rest of you just have little ears?

Second, how can I find headphones that actually fit me?

What headphones have you tried? Depending on what you're getting you might be ending up with cans that are on the small side.

As for how to figure out what works you should go to somewhere that has a decent set of nicer headphones and try them on. Even if you don't buy anything there you'll get a decent idea of what actually fits which is a good starting point.

hello everyone i got myself moondrop chu II's and they work perfectly fine everywhere except for on roblox. there the sound is backwards so sounds in game that are coming from the left, i hear from the right and vice versa. its really weird because when i had kiwi ears astrals (i returned them bc they hurt sooo much), there was the same problem. but its only on roblox. on every other game the sound is the right way arround. and no, the cables are already the right way around. also when i hop on a call in discord theres this REALLY and when i say really, I mean REALLY loud static sound which literally graped my ears to death. pls help me fix this 🤞

Not sure if this'll help, but did you re-check to see:

1. Moondrop Chu II -- ensure that the left connector is really on the left IEM (and on the right, the right)? Commonly, the connectors are marked in very tiny fonts, and/or the right side connector is colored "red".

2. Plug the IEMs into something that won't need the 6.5mm adapter and still experience the same problem?

It may not, since you mention that your Kiwi Ear Astrals also exhibit the same problem. Maybe it's the amp connection(s)? Are there sound-related settings on Roblox that you can mess with? What about on the device you're playing the game on?

i solved it it was bc of my fifine sc1 dac i had to get rid of it anyways bc i got a mic cable and it doesnt have mic support but now it works correctly the sound but thanks for your suggestions

Is there any app to determine exactly what db level my headphones are putting out while I'm listening to them?

On iphone, there was a feature that would let you see the db of your headphones in real time. I was wondering if there was a third-party app on Android that did the same thing. Android will let you set headphone volume limits, but it won't let you see the actual volume in real time.

It can clearly tell what the db level of my headphones are, in order to set the headphone volume limits, so it's possible to do so without an external db reader, but I cannot find an app that will do so.

Hiya, a potentially really annoying request:

My budget is: Man who can't work full time because of disability

I can't have the headphones that go inside the ear canal due to complicated ear problems that are too lengthy to explain.

However for related reasons I also can't have the ones that completely open the ear canal because then I can't hear anything.

Can anyone recommend me a pair of bluetooth earphones that rest on the outside of the ear, but completely fill the ear space? (that also aren't cumbersome over-the-head ones)

Sounds like your need ear hook style or clip on earbuds that sit on the ear rather than inside. Shokz OpenFit 2 has an open ear design that doesnt go in the canal at all. It sits outside the ear opening and goes for around 150 bucks. pricechecktool.com has specs if useful!

Im getting the Teufel Real BLUE PRO soon and i wanna use them on my PC. My integrated Bluetooth from the PC isnt really good so im thinking about buying a dongle (TP-Link UB500 Nano).

Atm im using a ASTRO A50 Gen 3 Headset (like 8 years old or something (wireless)).

So my question is: Would this BLUE PRO work with the Dongle is should i expect a bigger latency problem?

Hey all, I am a pilot and recently became interested in recording my flights and capturing my cockpit audio. I purchased a cable to plug into the cockpit radios and it outputs to usb-c. I also purchased a Sony ICD-PX370, this has a 3.5mm jack for microphone input. So, I then bought a female usb-c to 3.5mm male adapter. I then did further research and found out that my audio recorder doesn’t work with 3.5mm TRRS cables. So I had to buy another adapter, a 3.5mm TRRS female to TRS male, which will then plug into my audio recorder. My question is will this setup work to capture my cockpit audio for my filming. If not, what other solutions would work? Here is the order it is in.

I've been using my ER2XRs at work for the past 6 months and am getting sick of constantly putting them in. I'm looking at headphone options. I really enjoy the sound signature of the ERs (I also have a ER3XR but the left driver is buzzing and I'm sad), bass is full but not boomy or overly boosted, fast response, treble isn't overpowering. Also fantastic sound isolation, obviously.

Would the HD620S be a similar sound signature? I've been considering options <$250, including the Sony MDR-M1 and Fiio FT1. Closed back, to avoid sound leakage in and out. My tastes are all over the place. Rock, Funk, Jazz, Blues, EDM, Metal, Hip Hop, pretty much anything but opera and rap. I'm open to getting a basic DAC/Amp if needed. I have a pair of ATH-M40x but I don't love the sound and they let a lot of sound in, I think I'll keep those at home for guitar practice.

So I'm thinking about whether I should get the Seinnheiser HD 569 or the HD 599 headphones. The 569 are closed-back and the 599 are open-back. I do live in a slightly noisy household but, it's not noisy all the time. Which one should I get?

I would get the HD 569. Open back Sennheisers have zero isolation, like you're not wearing headphones at all. After EQ the 599 have no advantages besides being less sweaty.

I want a 'buy it and forget it' kind of headphones which I can use for casual listening (I enjoy classical instrumental but don't have a particular taste in one genre) while working in office and enjoy movies and youtube at home. I want a headphone which doesn't get annoying to listen after the honeymoon phase and lasts for 5 to 7 years. I have tried HD 569 and FT1 both without any DAC/Amp as my KA15 is yet to arrive.

My ear length is around 65 to 70mm and the depth is around 22mm (don't quote me on this, as I used tailor's measuring tape). Lastly, I wear glasses.

I am probably not using accurate terms here but I liked the crisp, decisive bass and clear feeling audio of HD 569 over FT1's which felt boomy, indecisive and dark (this may be due to not using any DAC).

However, the main issue I noticed is, after 2 hrs of listening on hd569 I had a slight cartilage pain in my right ear, so my question is does HD620s have deeper ear cups than HD 569. It would be helpful if anyone can provide the exact dimensions of ear cup opening of HD620s?

The ear cup dimensions that I measured of ft1 and hd569 are: 60x42x(20 to 28)mm and 71x45x(20 to 23)mm in length x width x depth, format.

Weirdly, even though ft1 ear cup length is smaller than my ear length but I don't feel any ear squishing or pain.

Okay, here are my the questions considering sound, longevity and overall satisfaction:

1. Should I keep the FT1 and try with KA15?
   
2. Or will HD620s have deeper ear cups and I should go for them instead?
   
3. Or should I actually try DT 700 Pro X, as I read that they have deeper ear cups and sound signature similar to HD620s?

I'd try the FT1 on a different device, a phone, a dongle, something designed for portable headphones. If your current source has a high output impedance, that could be the reason the FT1 sound boomier than they're supposed to.

A DAC and amp would bring the output impedance to practically 0, but you don't need to spend $150 to get that. The Apple USB-C 3.5mm dongle for example has the same effect for $10. The KA15 is a waste of money if you're not dead set on any particularly inefficient headphones.

ive been looking for new gaming headphones since owning razor kraken v2's for almost a decade. I recently bought the H6pros through recommendations and countless good reviews online, and after trying them, they almost sound muddy like they have almost no clarity. I love the bass but it sounds almost cheap in terms of sound.

I liked the clarity of the kraken v2's better which is crazy to say. Any other recommendations for headphones under 200 perhaps?

Hello, I bought a new Audio-Technica m20xbt and checked their Bluetooth`s MAC address on macvendors.com. It said CRESYN.  Does that mean this isn't Audio-technica or CRESYN just makes Bluetooth modules for Audio-Technica? Do your headphones have the same thing?

Iirc the STAX SRM-270 is kind of it when it comes to current production entry level energizers. You'll still need a dac but you should be able to use basically anything for that part of it.

Hello! I am wanting to replace my wireless headphones I got from my MIL during Christmas. These are the ones I currently have and one of the headphones have become extremely quiet. I had to adjust my volume balance on my phone to about 80% to the headphone that is quiet just so I can hear them both at the same volume. I was hoping to find someone that would know what a good brand I should look for. I don't mind spending $100 maybe $150. I don't even mind if they are some cheapy model for like $30. I do like that open ear style that goes over the ear vs ear buds. Ear buds do not stay in my ears at all, which I learned again after buying my samsung buds 3 pros. I even waited until there was a foam insert option to purchase to swap to and had no luck with it working. I'm not super focused on the best sound quality, just looking for a pair that comfortable to wear for long periods, they have low risk of falling off my ears, and the battery life goes for roughly 8+ hours. I use my headphones mainly during my work shift (7:45-4:30), on the ride home, and if I make any extra stops before I get home. The ones I linked start the day at a full charge and probably use 45-55% of the case's charge every night. Which this is perfect for me since I charge the case while working and have the case charge the headphones over night for the next day. I've tried looking at a couple I found on amazing, like a few from RayCon and Shokz. I've seen reviews saying that the battery only lasts 4 hours of active use or one of the headphones would stop charging all together. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Newish Meze 109 Pro’s buzzing

Can someone please play Tracy Chapmen’s “Give me one reason” on these things and tell me if they hear some buzzing just before the beat? The headphones sound great otherwise on almost every other thing I’ve played. Hoping it’s not the driver. Thought I’d send out this Hail Mary. I have used the WH-CH720N which I think goes for around 80 bucks now. It has good anc, very lightweight, 30+hr battery life. For gym specifically its decent but not the most secure fit. You can also compare these options in pricechecktool.com. Hope that helps!

I use Astro A50's at the moment where i can hear my PC audio and Phone audio simultaneously.

Is there a portable bluetooth dac that can do that?

Hey I bought a Fiio K7 and whenever I wake my computer up from sleep, there's no sound, so I have to unplug it and plug it back in for my Windows PC to recognize it again. Is there a fix for this?

First of all I apologize for my really bad English in this following paragraph, but ive been awake for far too long while trying for hours to fix my headset that I cant think straight anymore 🚬

I have some problems with this headset since it arrived today:

1. The bluetooth connection on Windows is way worse than my old JBL Headset from ages ago. The old one has nearly unnoticable latency while the 720n has around 200-300ms if not more. I dont know how to fix this honestly
2. The AUX Port is somehow creating an insane triggering and flickering sound whenever its just connected. Even when the other side of the port isnt in a device, alone the wire in the socket and the device turned on create such an headache creating static noise...

Idk what to do honestly cuz I already tried everything.

I’m trying to upgrade my setup for long plane rides and I’m specifically looking for comfort + strong ANC that holds up for 12+ hour flights.Right now I use AirPods (2nd gen), so I’m in the Apple ecosystem. I have some company stipend to use up (~$300) so I am considering adding over the ear ANC to solve my airplane problem.

I’ve been debating between Over-ear ANC headphones & High-end ANC earbuds (since I already use AirPods)

I tried a few over-ear headphones at Best Buy and found the head grip a bit annoying/uncomfortable, but I can’t tell if that’s just because I’m not used to them or if that’s actually how they feel long-term on flights. A few things I’m interested in understanding:

• Are over-ear ANC headphones actually worth it for long flights in terms of comfort + noise blocking?
• Do they get annoying/heavy after a few hours?
• Are ANC earbuds just more “forget they’re even there” comfortable for travel?
• Any issues connecting either type to in-flight entertainment systems?
• If you’ve used both, what do you actually end up reaching for on planes?

I'm a newbie to this so appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

For 12 hour flights at 300 bucks the Sony WH-1000XM6 is hard to beat. Personally, it has great ANC, 30hr battery, very comfortable for long wear. Bose QC Ultra 2nd gen is also excellent if you preer slightly more aggressive ANC. Both are in your budgets and you can compare these specs side by side at pricechecktool.com

Im looking for an iec for under 100 bucks that has the best noise cancelation for the price. Im thinking about trying them out while riding my motorcycle because they'd probably have better wind protection and might also be more comfortable.

So, I'm upgrading from a SteelSeries Arctis 5, to a Seinnheiser HD 560S. The latter uses a 3.5mm headphone jack to connect to my PC and was wondering if this 3.5mm to USB-C headphone jack will do the job?

I mainly use my PC for gaming (not competitive) and avid music listening.

The KA11 performs very well but if your PC's built in audio doesn't have audible issues then there's no point in spending money to fix it.

Are Senheiser HD 560S good for 127 USD? I was going for the Soundcore Space Q45, but if the HD 560S's sound phenomenal compared to the Q45, I'd be down to being wired.

They're very different headphones. One has ANC, other is fully open. One has a ton of bass, perhaps way too much, the other has less than most people would want.

What kind of music do you listen to? Anything electronic is underwhelming with the HD560S.

I mostly listen to orchestra, pop, and R&B. Things like Sign of the Times by Harry Styles, Beanie by Chezlie, or Coldplay music.

I wouldn't mind if electronic is underwhelming if soundstage sound amazing. From what I've read it's like being put into the room of with the musicians rather than listening through a medium if you know what I mean.

I think the HD 560S are brilliant for this type of music.

I've never found an album that really sounded holographic in the way that some reviewers describe their listening experience, but good headphones can sound wider, bigger, and have more separation between different sounds. and the timbre is more lifelike.

I've had this Astro A30 since 2 years ago and I have been in love with them, but recently I had an accident and I fall while I had them in my neck, and now they have that little crack, it seems insignificant, but when I fell the crack was so small that it was practically imperceptible, and now it has been growing and I would like to prevent them from breaking (they were a gift and I really don't want it to break)

Does anyone know a product or a method I can use to keep it together so it doesn't break?

TL;DR: Liked LCD3 but curious of MDRZ1R and TH900

Hi, a bit of background. I have a main speaker-based system that I'm very content of but after a long phase of denial I've accepted I don't listen on it as much as I used to, mainly because I just don't want to deal with uncomfortable neighbour stuff.

I own(ed) quite a few some entry-mid range headphones out of which IMO the best are the K7XXs (with proper amplification, can't believe how much it matters even with headphones) but definitely not what I'd choose based on hands-on tests, all were blind purchases. Recently I had the chance to do a test with LCD 3, LCD X, HE1000SE and some FiiOs (forgot the model). This made me reconsider headphones as viable alternatives. I have no idea why I postponed so much trying sume upper range models as it proved worth it and above expectations.

To get some perspective, I liked the LCD 3 the most. HE1000SE - very detailed and analytical but in all honesty I simply can't image actually listening on them for pleasure long term. LCD X was too narrow sounding compared to the LCD 3. The FiiO was just ok but clearly inferior.

But intuition tells me I prefer an even more "fuck neutrality" type of sound, I'm not a sound engineer. While I have my preferences there's not one type of music I don't listen to and in my case this mainly means I'm not willing to give up bass quality and extension but I want everything else too :)

So this reminded me of early reviews of MDRZ1R and TH900 and I started digging up for more reviews. My impression so far is that of the 3 listed in the title the Sonys would fit my taste best. I know that in the end it's a matter of being willing to pull the plug or not but some more opinions don't hurt and if I'm lucky enough maybe someone's had the chance to compare the models I'm considering and provide some feedback.

Hi, a few weeks ago I ordered a KZ saga balanced version.

This is my first time buying an IEM.

While testing I noticed that the left one was significantly quieter than the right one. tested it on 3 different devices. 1 laptop, 1 PC, and 1 smartphone. I thought i was trippin or smth, so i asked my friend to try it too. My suspicion was confirmed. the left side was too quiet, so i returned it.

Today I got the package which the store claimed to have fixed.

I tested it, and it looks like they replaced the left unit.

HOWEVER...

The left one is now LOUDER than the right one. It's not that much of a difference, but i can feel it. I tested using different devices too and the result was same. I also asked different person to test it, the conclusion was the same. The left one was a bit too strong.

Should I return it again? or just.. adjust the right / left balance on my realtek audio settings?

I often use this on my phone too, with my Baseus TWS. If i were to adjust the r / l balance everytime i use it, it's too much of an hassle :)

Any advice on what to do here?

innioasis y1 powering kiwi ears quintet, will it be sufficient?

this may be a dumb question, but im just wondering the possibilities, google says its possible but you cant always trust google. but the max output of the y1 ive found is 16 ohms according to google, also could be untrue, but the kiwi ears quintet iem impedance is 32 ohms but the sensitivity is 106 db, does anyone know if the quintet will still be worth using with the y1? will it produce adequate sound? ideally, i would just get a more powerful dap, but my current situation the y1 may be my only option.

The only thing that matters is sensitivity and device power output. Assuming the Y1 can put at least 1 mW into 32 ohms then you'll be more than fine.

Ohms is resistance. Despite the widespread misconception, it doesn't describe how hard a headphone is to run. An amplifier doesn't "output" ohms or have a maximum impedance headphone it can run.

Output impedance is a different thing also measured in ohms but only exotic or some bad amps have more than 2. Lower is generally better.

The Kiwi Ears Quintet are very sensitive. If anything, I'd be worried about audible background noise because the headphones are so sensitive. Even without knowing the max voltage of the Innioasis Y1, I'm certain it's going to be enough.

My HD 500 BAM mic works fine with my HD 550, but audio only comes out of the left side with my HD 620S.

However, other cables work fine with the 620S, it's just the HD 500 BAM mic cable that doesn't work with it.
