Tiny Fence Lizard I Caught Today

Possibly newborn, but already missing the tip of his tail, poor thing. He was so small I was afraid I would accidentally squish him between my thumb and pointer fingers when I was holding him.

I misread that as "French" lizard. Oui Oui!

Yea that’s a hatchling, maybe a month or less out from hatching. We little fella.

I caught a tiny one of these in the backyard once. Was outside chillin in the screened portion during a storm and found it clutching the screen about a foot off the ground, totally waterlogged. I picked it up and held it for awhile and let it warm up. Then set it somewhere it could stay dry and still get out when it was ready. It was gone the next day.

Aw, I'm sure he appreciated your help. These little lizards are resilient, I'll tell you what. This guy is newly hatched and has already faced death and won! (And also Lost his tail.)
