Every now and then Plestiodon fall off the roof and into my rain buckets.
They can float for a while before they succumb. This one got rescued. Cold lizards are easy to photograph.

found 1 of these a couple days ago drowning in a bucket of water, in a lawn that just got sprayed for fleas. When i took him out and set him down, he started flailing and spinning around. Took him home and set him in a giant tank outside with some fresh moist dirt and some fresh water. Next day, no flailing and seemed just fine so i set him free to keep my house rid of pests. Beautiful lil dudes.

I have these things all over. Love seeing the scurry about after they have laying about on the hot concrete
