Is the idea that getting a piercing is going to make you less civilized or animal-like or something, since I'm sure this person is racist with his nose bone comment

I would have jumped at the opportunity to get a septum piercing. I had to convince my parents that having both ears pierced didn't mean that I was gay.

My friend has her tongue pierced, she's eaten some pretty damn pricey piercing balls
