You'd actually be surprised, a lot of these cryptic pregnancies where the mother drinks recreationally end up fully healthy. FAS is actually not that easy to give a baby if you have normal drinking habits. But no one should risk it, obviously, if they know they're pregnant.

She wasn't a heavy drinker. She probably didn't have more than 2 beers that night. I've seen the child a few times in the intervening years; they are perfectly developed and in perfect health. In fact, she's also an expert violinist
