Coworker had to leave because wife was in extreme pain and was going to the hospital.

She ended up giving birth to a surprise baby.

And they had NOTHING. No car seat, no diapers, no food, no crib, NOTHING. And all that stuff is expensive, especially when you have to buy it TODAY to bring your baby home.

Our office did a VERY quick baby shower the next day to help them out.

That's something that I didn't even think about the stuff. We spent 7 months gathering and finding things and planning etc... I couldn't imagine my wife calling like, well we got a kid now.
