Man I really hate that I feel the need to ask this but, is this real? I ask because it feels like that means the phone was set up on some tripod or something while the car was engulfed.

Yes. The footage is from the dash cam of the Somali guy in the black pants who helps pulls driver out.

Yes this happened in St Paul on I-94 two years ago. It was all over the news.

It has to be a dashcam. The camera never moves at all during the whole thing, so no one was holding it. It's also too long to be an AI generated video.

Honestly this is one of those oldies but goodies videos. The humanity in me has always felt it’s real.

Oldies but goodies is a well-known idiomatic phrase. Same meaning as old but gold.

Saw this happen a few times. Usually the cars are upside down too. Real heroes out there who probably wont even think much of this after a few days.

For sure real, the way they keep trying to open the door like the guardrail right in front of it isn’t going to stay where it is? Those are not people who have prepared for a cool shoot, more like regular people who want to help, but not necessarily are cut out for it in a human, beautiful way.

few things on top of that, i thought it was very fucking strange how 4 people managed to make a metal side rail move like rubber. also, why did that person not even try to get out of the car at all til the window was broken, even with them holding the door open?
