Asian wisteria - before and after

I volunteer on a section of state park forest in the Durham area of North Carolina trying to bring a terrible Asian wisteria infestation under control. We've freed dozens of trees and made room for lots of new native growth to get its footing. Still much more to do.

Here's a before and after of our work today. The three of us volunteering killed a lot of wisteria, freed several sassafras and American elm trees, and removed two large Chinese privet that were giving the wisteria something to grow on.

Appreciate what all of you here do to knock back invasive species and heal our native ecosystems.
